This is a very weird story that seemed to come out of nowhere. I, and others here in State College, PA (Think Penn State University} who I have spoken with about this had never heard anything at all about this until it was published in our local paper.

And then this from the article:

He called to the stand a therapist from Pittsburgh, formerly of State College, who testified Thursday she treated two separate patients who reported similar cult abuse in Centre County.

Whoa! Does the name Jerry Sandusky Ring a bell? How about our disappeared (6 yrs ago) District Attorney Ray Gricar?

Very strange things are happening around here.

Sure are a bunch of sick puppies in State College, PA. But they all stick together because “their football team is all important.” And I thought Berkeley, CA was a rotten place.

Really odd but who can tell what memories are brought up or implanted when seeing a nut like the dr.
Maybe that didn’t come out right. Just saying its easy for them to implant a memory and you might never know it.

Such a poorly written article! Why the overuse of the Passive Mood?

"A mixture of carbon dioxide and oxygen"? I've been exposed to a mixture of carbon dioxide and oxygen for some 60 years now without any major brain injury. (Or at least I haven't started voting for Democrats or anything.)

Some critical details must be absent from the article!

Bad therapy techniques by therapists have planted and validated false memories of sexual abuse by fathers for many years. Even Freud was guilty of this with improper training in hypnosis which he used to treat women with hysteria.

When Freud’s patients accused their wealthy fathers, the fathers turned on Freud and was going to destroy him. To cover his arse, he developed the Oedipus Complex where he said that the sexual abuse did not happen but the daughters wanted it to happen!

I’ve followed many cases and the work of Elizabeth Loftus and the False Memory Foundation for years. Lot’s of people harmed by bad therapists.
