“On its face this is absurd.

When you consider population growth, new high school and college graduates plus an increasing number of retirees returning to work at places like McDonalds and Walmart, there is no way labor participation has gone down.”

A lot of these “light duty” types of jobs are being done away with. See link for an example.

And a lot of late teenage kids and twenty somethings are neither working or looking for work because they are discouraged and have given up.

Many out-of-work older workers are applying for disability benefits as their unemployment runs out (and, if they are somewhat savvy and know how long disability applications take to be approved, many apply well before their unemployment coverage will end).

It’s happening dude -— all is not well in the ObamaNation.

Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe and some Air Jordan’s and he votes Democrat for a lifetime

You forgot the free cell phone and 200 anytime minutes/month.
