Six of the House Ethics Committee's 10 members removed themselves from the case and were replaced Friday, saying they wanted to erase any questions of bias.
Waters, a Democrat, is accused of trying to get federal aid for a minority-owned bank that lists her husband as an investor. She denies any wrongdoing.
In addition to five Republicans, democratic Congresswoman Linda Sanchez also dropped out of the investigation, which has been going on for more than two years

To know her is to despise her.
Untouchable
Gutless.
Maybe they fear her powers of ‘sending people to hell’ when she gets peed off at them. Ain’t that right TEA Party’ers?
Obviously she has the goods on them.
Did she pay them off?
The Headline should read “6 Gutless Pols recuse from Maxine Waters Investigation”
All five Republicans dropped out? Does being Republican mean that they have a “conflict of interest”? It sure sounds as if they intend to do . . . nothing.
They are afraid to be highlighted on the enemies list.
There is so much dirty laundry among politicians of both sides that they cannot risk investigating anyone.
Not only has “pay-to-play picking winners and losers” politics been successfully exported from Chicago to the White Crib, but Springfield-style “Combine” politics has been successfully exported to Washington DC. “The Combine” is a melding of parties to ensure group power at all costs regardless of party affiliation. In 1979, former Black Panther, Joanne Chesimard, gunned down a New Jersey State Highway Patrol Officer. A jury convicted her of murder, and sentenced her to life in prison. In a daring breakout, Chesimard escaped from prison and fled to Cuba. Congress passed a unanimous resolution urging Castro to send Chesimard back to America and face charges. You, however, wrote Castro a letter, urging him to let her stay, stating "she was persecuted as a result of her political beliefs and affiliations." You further likened her to Martin Luther King!
I have a hard time keeping track of who is worse, Maxine Waters or Shelia Jackson Lee. Its a real tough choice.

It is those dang anti abortion Christians, they are up to no good I tell you.</sarcasm;Occasionally used just in case.>
Correct.
Waters is black and everyone knows you can’t take a stand against any black or you will be labeled a racist regardless of how egregious their actions may be.
