Video at link as well. And I wouldn't be surprised if this comes up at the CNN debate.

If Alan Simpson doesn’t like Santorum, that’s another feather in his cap.

Yeah, after all Alan Simpson sure knows how to win elections. His best RINO buddy Bob Dole did so well in 1996

Why is there another CNN debate? The RNC is run by a bunch of morons. Stop going on the enemy’s air and letting the enemy frame the debate and the message!! Tell them to ESAD!!!

RE: Santorum “homophobic,” former Senator says
Santorum said PUBLICLY that he has nothing against homosexuals, however he believes that homosexual ACTS are wrong and sinful.
How is that homophobic?
That is the view of ALL Christians who take the Bible seriously.
It seems to be to Alan Simpson, one has to APPROVE and CELEBRATE same gender sex in order NOT to be called homophobic.
Is that the societal definition now?

The former three-term Senator from Wyoming has always been known for both his candor and his ability to work across party lines, said Republicans are hurting themselves by focusing on social issues.
Well that's really all I need to know.

From what I’ve seen, Simpson had appeared to be suffering from senility for several years. I used to like him but he’s become a “useful idiot” for the political rulingelite in our country.

Well c-BS...almost no one here knows that except for you liberal media clowns. Looks like the MSM is cranking up their target for Santorum now that their original one in Romney is almost done for.

Just more proof that the RINOs don’t like Conservatives. They come out of the closet to attack Newt and Rick.

LMBO!
It looks like this guy Alan Simpson is the new Barry Goldwater - - the senile old Republican Senator the scumbag Democrat “mainstream” newsrooms run to when they want a funny quote to bash Republicans with.

"Here's a party that believes in government out of your life, the precious right of privacy and the right to be left alone. How then can they be the hypocrisy of fiddling around in these social issues? We won't have a prayer," he told Bob Schieffer in an interview for CBS News's Face to Face, a weekly web interview from the staff of Face the Nation.
There's an easy answer to this pathetic drivel. When people take their right to privacy and force it into the public square, it's no longer a private issue. America does not want gay marriage. Everywhere it's been put to a vote of ordinary Americans, it has lost. Even in California of all places.
I have said it again and again. If the Republican nominee makes homosexual marriage into a major issue, he'll win more of the Black and Hispanic vote than any Republican has for 60 years. Alan Simpson's addled brain aside, marriage and family is a WINNING issue.

Scheiffer sought out Simpson (of the infamous Simpson-Mazzoli Act) exactly for this reason, to get cute little quips vs. Santorum. He wouldn’t have sought an interview with a former Santorum colleague who might say something nice about him. Some of these old timers really should just exit stage right.
I am getting more than sick of these Republicans who snipe at Santorum and Gingrich. Let them put their effort into attacking Obama, then we should listen.

Let me cut to the chase. Romney: you are NOT getting this nomination buddy. And if somehow you do we will not vote for you in the general. You SCUM.

Simpson is an a$$hole. This RINO is a tool of the Dems. He likes to portray himself as some kind of maverick and truth teller. His reaching across the aisles mentality is what has got us into this mess. The Simpson-Bowles commission didn't address health care reform, the main driver of our deficits and debt. And Simpson-Mazzoli in 1986 gave us an amnesty that led to more illegals entering into this country.
Santorum's comments about gay marriage were right on. Once you accept the idea that the definition of marriage is no longer between one man and one woman, it is a slippery slope to polygamy, marriage to animals, etc. Jerks like Simpson want to use labels to denigrate people who speak the truth. It is easier to employ personal attacks than address the substance of the statements.

“He believes that gays and lesbians, he mentioned in an interview in 2003, about bestiality, and gays and lesbians.”
Wonderful syntax from a former senator. Let me try: “Alan Simpson...something about nazis...the KKK like him...what a boob.”

Drudge/Simpson/Rove/ etc etc -— The long knives of the GOP-e/Romney smear machine are working overtime on Santorum this week. You would almost think they are in a panic over something.

Liberal media tactic #43: Pull out old RINO to criticize Republican.
Bob Scheiffer never had on a conservative retired Democrat to criticize Obama on social issues, like when he claimed his faith called for higher taxes.

"Here's a party that believes in government out of your life, the precious right of privacy..." Someone is in the wrong party. I don't believe the right to privacy is in the constitution. If Simpson does and the party he claims to be a member of does, then one of us is in the wrong party.
