"So, if someone in the military, and contracts HIV like this cluster of homosexuals in Fairbanks, will they be eligible for veteran’s benefits, and will their HIV be considered a Service Connected Disabliltiy which will qualify them for lifelong benefits?"

Not only that, but while they remain on active duty, they will be classified as "non-deployable," so if their unit is sent overseas, they will remain in a stateside assignment, while somebody else gets to go in their place.

Good. I hope this keeps happening. When the services have a base full of non deployable homos maybe something will be done about it.

Didn't see your post when I wrote mine. GMTA and all that.

I used to joke with some of my junior sailors when they'd ask, "is it possible to stay on shore duty all the time?" and I'd say, "yeah, get AIDS." Not really much of a joke anymore.
