I don’t know how anyone could not believe in Satan. A father hatchets his two adorable sons, then burns them up in a house. How about the man who threw hs daughter strapped in a car seat, over a bridge into the water. But I still do not want a career politician making his religious beliefs the central theme of a presidential campaign. So what is his plan to get rid of Satan? Better yet, what is his plan on keeping gasoline under 7.00 a gallon? This is ridiculous.

Why is Satan needed to explain the evil that men do? Why can’t a father that kills his children be personally responsible for his own evil, rather than attributing that evil to some third party?

I find much of the recent discussions about Santorum’s comments about Satan really dopey. For someone like me, who has been a conservative all my life, it’s discouraging because it makes the conservative base look really, really, loony.
