Newt Gingrich took debate moderator John King to task for asking the candidates about contraception.

Gingrich said King and the rest of the "elite media" did not bother to ask the 2008 Democratic candidates about "infanticide."

I saw a clip of 0bama from just recently mocking the idea of debates. He is already trying to dodge having to debate the GOP nominee. The little emperor is too good to have to compete with anyone else doncha know.

When a doctor kills a viable new born baby, he is committing a crime of infanticide.

That is a simple fact of biology and a centuries old legal term of art. To kill an infant is called infanticide.

Sure there will be debates. Obama would be laughed out of the race, if he refused to debate.

af_vet, I noticed that Sarah Palin gave Newt a shout out after the debate tonight on her facebook site and get this! I went to Newt’s FB site and to Romneys...Newt has MORE supporters than Mitt! surfed around some conservative fb sites..all pro Newt but never hear about it in the media. Drudge had Ann “the “Adam’s apple “ Coulter with her trickle down slime wondering why the media other than Faux News does not rally behind her man Mitt.

Newt was a master tonight. He went straight after Obama which is exactly what I want out of a presidential candidate.

Here are the excerpt of the transcript:

KING: Since birth control is the latest hot topic, which candidate believes in birth control, and if not, why? As you can see — it’s a — it’s a very popular question in the audience, as we can see. Look, we’re not going to spend a ton of time on this but it is — please.

GINGRICH: Can I just make a point? The first is there is a legitimate question about the power of the government to impose on religion activities which any religion opposes. That’s legitimate.

But I just want to point out, you did not once in the 2008 campaign, not once did anybody in the elite media ask why Barack Obama voted in favor of legalizing infanticide.
OK? So let’s be clear here.

If we’re going to have a debate about who the extremist is on these issues, it is President Obama who, as a state senator, voted to protect doctors who killed babies who survived the abortion. It is not the Republicans.

“I do not believe that Santorum or Romney are evil, and though I do not consider either as capable of being President as Newt Gingrich, replacing that awful Marxist-Leninist presently in the White House is more important than any one person. Let the American people decide who will be President this coming fall.”

Right On! The fact that Romney and Santorum have the numbers they do simply shows the intellectual deficit most people have. Romney is about as evil as Obama and Santorum even manages to get Catholic priests to say he’s on the lunatic fringe vis-a-vis his religious prattling. I don’t see either as anything more than play it safe, don’t rock the boat, caretakers. If Gingrich would really do what he says, we would see some remarkable change for the better.

50% of the people could care less or even don’t want Obama debating with a person like Newt for obvious reasons. I don’t recall the Obama vs McCain debates very well but what I do recall is that Obama would not have a patsy if Newt were in the debate.

Did not see the debate, but not surprised in the least that Newt turns the tables on the media moderators. He is in control and lets them know that. He chooses to frame the debate and lets them know that. He shows leadership and they hate that.

That was one of the best moments of the debate.

If Newt is the GOP nominee, there will be no presidential debates!

* * *

With all due respect, I doubt that is true. Obama would HAVE to do at least one debate, and maybe two. Of course, I am sure any Obama-Newt debate would be as jury-rigged as possible by the liberal media to assure Obama’s “win.” But even a blind pig would notice if Obama simply refused to debate at all.

Obama would spend the entire debate pushing Newt’s buttons. Newt already said that the reason he stammered and lost it in FL was because romney was lying so shockingly he didn’t know what to say. You don’t think Obama could be the king of mean?

I didn’t mention Newt Gingrich so it’s clear that 0bama is afraid to debate any of the GOP candidates but who do you want debating 0bama?

He looked much more at ease now that Santorum is taking most of the incoming from Mitt and Mitt’s lil buddy from Mars.

LOL!

Who would I want debating Obama? In a vacuum I’d love the best debater debating Obama and that would be newt. Does that mean I think he would be the best president? Or be able to beat obama? Not really.

I think santo would be a better pres.

>> I think santo would be a better pres.

I think Rick would do poorly managing the DC entourage. I envision him frustrated in disbelief throughout his hypothetical Presidency.

I like Rick. He’s a good man. For that matter, there are a lot of great people in the Country, but few whom are capable of being great leaders.

Fair enough. IMO Gingrich and Santorum are the only two candidates who would be acceptable as president. I think Newt Gingrich would be the better one by far.

I like Newt a lot. But, in talking to liberals, and even conservatives, the media has done such a hatchet job over decades that it will be a monumental effort to overcome. However, if the tea party gets truly energized again, it may be possible. But as of yet, I have not seen the energy of the tea party focused to push Newt through the primaries. If he gets through the primaries, I can see the tea party ramping up in support, but right now, it seems we are meandering through pergatory, and with the imminent crash of Santorum, we will be stuck with Obomney.
