I'm still believing it will take the alliance of Santorum and Newt to take Romney out, neither of them seems to be able to do it alone.

They did appear to be on the same side last night.

I'd like to see something drastic. Maybe an appearance of Santorum and Gingrich together. They could remind people that they are quite friendly with each other outside of the campaign. The could pledge that if either wins the nomination that they will choose the other as a running mate. They could further pledge that they won't go after the other in states where one is leading. (Seems that they're doing that anyway)

Its drastic but I think it might just defuse the whole nasty campaign.

Newt stayed out of the infighting last night and looked the better for it.

He was very good in all his comments, but not sure he had a ‘come to Jesus’ moment that would change the momentum of the campaign.

I really like Newt but I’ll not knock Santorum here as in comparison to the tag team of Ron Paul and Romney, he really does seem like a saint.

I hope they do something like that. I'm still voting for Santorum in Michigan, even though I prefer Newt. It's a tactical move to help deflate Mitt (plus I do not have any big problem with Rick). I hope Santorum supporters will do the reverse in one of Newt's strongholds in the south on super Tuesday.

If not, I do fear the tactical alliance of Mitt and RuPaul will take this thing.
