The real point is that Israel can fight it’s (sic) own wars.
The United States should not fight wars for Israel.

Between 1968 and 1989 The US tried to use Israel as a staging area for surveiling the Soviet Union. Israel refused.
Israel did, however, target the Soviet Union first in the event of a conflict. That does NOT mean that the U.S. can't fight its own wars. Just makes it easier.
