Since Obama became president he has specifically singled out the Navy contingent of US Special Operations Command, also known as Navy Seals. Has anyone heard of him mentioninng Army Rangers, Marine Force Recon, US Air Force Pararescue, US Air Force Combat Controllers, ect. The answer is no. They are all highly trained, the best of the best in special forces. Seals are one contingent of this Special Forces Command, which is located at McDill AFB Force, Florida. In past administrations no one unit of the US military has been singled out for special glory and praise, while ignoring the professionalism of the others. This is done for a reason. It is called working as a team and no part being any stronger than the other part of the team. The reason that Neil Armstrong, who was not in the military was chosen to be the first man on the moon is because he was not in the military. Buzz Aldrin was in the Air Force and was chosen to be the second man to set foot on the moon. This was done for a reason. Obama needs to let the military do it’s job and he needs to quit pretending he’s Rambo and that the only special forces in the US military are called Seals. It’s getting silly.
I was in the USAF, so I’m well aware of the other Special Forces units. (I took and passed the PAST test myself) I don’t understand why you are talking to me about Obama. I never mentioned him, I only stated that I look forward to the movie.
The SEALs have been getting a lot of publicity lately compared to the other special forces.
Another very good movie about Special Ops is Black Hawk Down. IIRC, there are no SEALs in it—just Delta Force, Rangers, and Night Stalkers.
