Exactly.

Without any threat on the Middle East supply of oil,the price of a barrel of oil will increase in proportion to the value of the dollar. I believe the vast increase in the cost of a barrel of oil (in US dollars)is the direct result of the decrease in the value of the US dollar, not threats from Iran. Of course refining capacity in the US doesn’t help our efforts either.

No doubt that monetary policy is the largest factor.
