are you seriously intimating that there are no black/hispanic seals? When the San Diego Union did a three part story about blacks in Special Ops, Rangers, SEALS, Special Forces, etc, , a few years ago, they said that blacks didn't exceed 2% in any of them.

(Romney is unquestionably the weakest party front-runner in contemporary political history.)

You need only to turn on the TV and look at video from Afghanistan to see that minorities are probably underrepresented in combat units compared to say the Vietnam era when the draft was in effect. I came into the military as the draft was ending, and it seemed like to me, although I was in Air Force I spent a lot of time around the other services, that a lot of minorities went into non-combat units. I never really thought about it, but maybe a lot of them are joining for the training and experience to help them in the civilian world.
I noticed a lot of minority aircraft mechanics in the Air Force. They seemed like the majority of mechanics. If you get the right training and put in a few solid enlistments, I would imagine that experienced aircraft mechanics coming out of the Air Force could do quite well in the civilian world
Then again, my son is in the Marines in a combat unit, and it seems like there are a lot of Hispanic last names among his buddies. I notice when Marines from Texas are killed or wounded, and a lot are Hispanic, but Hispanics are about to pass up whites here in Texas in numbers, so that's not a good representation.
