The Lone Star state is reminding the Obama administration of its unofficial motto: Dont mess with Texas.
On Thursday, Texas Health and Human Services Commissioner Thomas Suehs signed a rule at the behest of lawmakers and Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott that will formally ban Planned Parenthood affiliates and other abortion providers from participating in Texas Womens Health Program.
The administration had threatened to revoke federal funding from the state-federal Medicaid program if Texas went through with the ban.

I have to wonder why any state is getting federal money for medical spending in the first place. (After all, the federal money comes from exactly the same place as the state money.)
I would think that the money saved by not funneling funds to pseudo-medical facilities like PP would cover a lot of the federal funding they stand to lose.

Texas shows us that if Obama can ignore the Constitution, then Texas can ignore Obama.

More states need to stand up to the feds on many things. Let the power devolve to the people like it is supposed to be. God Bless Texas.
