Penn has to be the dumbest of the dumb-ass actors to inflict their opinions on us.

I'll now be denounced in the U.S. for educating my children as socialist revolutionaries.

From Investor's Business Daily (IBD), August 27, 2008:

"Ayers, now a tenured distinguished professor of education at UIC, works to educate teachers in socialist revolutionary ideology, urging that it be passed on to impressionable students.

One of Ayer's descriptions for a course called 'Improving Learning Environments' says prospective K-12 teachers need to 'be aware of the social and moral universe we inhabit and ... be a teacher capable of hope and struggle, outrage and action, teaching for social justice and liberation.

The Annenberg papers are quite extensive — 132 boxes containing 947 file folders with 70 linear feet of material. They undoubtedly contain more surprises regarding Obama's relationship with Ayers, one of many relationships Obama has sought to hide.'..."

"It was at the Chicago home of [Bill] Ayers and [Bernardine] Dohrn that Obama, then an up-and-coming 'community organizer,' had his political coming out party in 1995. Not content with this rite of passage in Lefty World — where unrepentant terrorists are regarded as progressive luminaries, still working 'only to educate' — both Obamas tended to the relationship with the Ayers."

His Oscar–winning role in Dead Man Walking where he played a convicted rapist and murderer who perished by lethal-injection in Louisiana seems to have made a deep impression upon Penn.

He probably also thinks Martin Sheen is a former POTUS.

We need to call self proclaimed communists like Sean Penn out.

If Sean Penn truly believes in communism along with it’s tenets of community property and equal wages, we should physically go to the ‘Peoples House’ in Hollywood that Sean Penn resides, use the ‘Peoples toilet’ while demanding our equal cut of the Peoples Wealth Sean Penn ‘exploited’ from the working class who payed to see all of his movies.

Try to imagine the kind of family you would have to come from to embrace this ideology.

Thanks for posting this. This defines one of the most important fundamental issues facing us - control of the academy and what passes as reasonable, informed, and ‘modern’ thought.

To a large swath of the American public, the veracity of commentary and the legitimacy of a position are defined by whether or not they came from sources they've come to accept as legitimate. These include, unfortunately, the MSM, their favorite entertainers, and individuals or groups associated with high profile academic institutions.

We laughed at Archie Bunker and all in the family, but his character was the prototype of the unthoughtful, prejudiced, close-minded, uninformed, ‘un-modern’, hypocritical neanderthal that the left uses as a template to characterize all who don't agree with them. It wasn't innocuous. Nothing the left does is innocuous.

If any or us were communist/socialist sympathizers sitting in a room 50 years ago trying to decide the best way to ‘transform’ American society the list or goals would have been fairly easy to put together.

-Infiltrate and control the universities.
-Infiltrate and control elementary education (get on school boards, push for teachers unions, attempt to define the textbooks used etc.).
-Push for a change in immigration policy.
-Attempt to strengthen and influence labor unions.
-Infiltrate and control the media.
-Infiltrate and control the entertainment industry.
-Foster minority discontent and push for race and class conflict.
-Delegitimize religion (especially Christianity) as an ‘old fashioned’, fear-driven, xenophobic belief system held by those who are either ‘less educated’ or who are fanatical.
-At the same time, use the basic tenets of religion to motivate the actions of the American public to be sympathetic to leftist causes (prey on guilt, the desire to be fair and unselfish etc.).
-Redefine, (through control of what is portrayed in product advertising, entertainment, and the media) what is considered ‘normal’, and characterize anyone who objects to this redefinition as uniformed, small-minded, clinging to the past, out of touch, etc.
-Color the political opposition as extremists. Compare them to Nazis etc.
-Infiltrate both political parties; including having your own stealth candidates running for the opposition.
-Use the American political system against itself (e.g. infiltrate and control the judiciary and thus redefine what is ‘Constitutional’).

We could all come up with this list, but the scary thing is that pretty much all of it has happened already. When we let the faculty of Harvard law school do and say what this article delineates, and we don't publicly shout them down, point out their hypocrisy, and question the legitimacy of their intellectual process, we strengthen the left.

That moron Penn would be a ‘nobody’ in Cuba or Venezuela. Look what benefits he has reaped here in the USA and yet he trashes America and exalts its enemies. Give him a one way ticket to those socialist paradises and stay there. LIEberals are Lunatics!

"We need to call self proclaimed communists like Sean Penn out."

Who will listen? Those who get it, get it already. We are beyond mid-point in the societal decay that will do us in.

Dead Man Walking turned me in favor of the death penalty. I knew it was supposed to be against the death penalty but what I saw was that the death penalty made the guilty man finally admit to himself his wrong, it freed his own family from visits and it freed the victims’ families from having to testify every few years.

He's not much liked in Britain these days: branded as "egotistical", "an idiot," "a fool," and a "vainglorious and ill-informed Hollywood actor" who should be "fed to crocodiles."

"Falklands hero Simon Weston branded Sean Penn an 'idiot' and a 'fool' over his comments about Britain's ownership of the islands.... Former Welsh Guardsman Weston, 50, hit back at the Hollywood actor's criticism of Prince William's deployment to the Falklands...... The father-of-three, who was terribly injured in an Argentine bomb attack that killed 48 people in 1982, said: 'Sean Penn is living, breathing proof that just because you are famous doesn't mean you know what you are talking about."

Inspection INSPECTOR CLOUSEAU: Actor Sean Penn (right) alongside Argentina's Social Developer Minister Alicia Kirchner (left) during a visit to a factory in Berazategui, on the outskirts of Buenos Aires

"In the film, written by South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, a puppet of Penn made outlandish statements about how happy Iraqis were before the war... Alec Baldwin, George Clooney and Matt Damon all saw the funny side to the film, in which they too were parodied, Penn sent Parker and Stone an angry letter inviting them to tour Iraq with him and signing it off with '**** you'."

" Parker explained: 'In the movie we were making fun of him for always saying "I’ve been to Iraq, you don’t know what you’re talking about, I’ve been there", and then he writes in the letter "I’ve been to Iraq...".'"
