I've read recently that there are more people in Maine on welfare than there are taxpayers.

How's that going?

The Solmalians are primarily in the Portland and Lewiston-Auburn area and I don’t follow the news there.

I am not sure about more people on welfare than taxpayers, but I can tell you we have a Tea Party governor and both branches of the state legislature held by Republicans. The first time since 1962. The governor and most of the Republican legislators are pro-business. The governor is promoting education reform and cracking down on welfare and workman compensation abuse.
