One hour and $260 can get you phony green card, soc. security and driver's license

It’s a passport to trouble — and it can be bought for just $260 on the streets of Jackson Heights, Queens.

In just one hour, The Post was able to buy a phony green card, Social Security card and New York state driver’s license from a stranger on a corner — all of which could serve as a gateway to obtain legitimate IDs.

The cards are frighteningly real — convincing enough to fool creditors, potential employers and security at buildings and even the airport.

Experts said the biggest fear is that these IDs are being bought by people who slipped past border crossings. FAKE-ID ‘EPICENTER’: “Charlie,” “Angel” and a Post reporter await the delivery of fake IDs on a street corner in Jackson Heights, where officials believe at least 10 identity-card forgery mills operate.

“You get that legitimate ID, and this one goes away,” said John Cutter, retired NYPD deputy chief of the Intelligence Division, as he tossed the fake Social Security card in the air.

Cut the fingers off anyone caught making or using fake IDs. That would keep them from doing it again.

Years ago in my community, there were a few local anti-gun pols pushing for a photo ID license to “cut down on crime”.

Even back then there were guys in the Netherlands, Sweden, etc. on the Internet advertising fake IDs for just about everything.

I was REALLY tempted to get a photo of these pols and make up phony IDs and then present them as an example of how easy it was to get around any such law. Never followed through as I figured I’d get nailed for some legality, but I did present copies of the ads. No gun ID law ever surfaced and I’d like to think my efforts aided in some small way.

Update to today - I’d like to see some of those who claim Open Borders are no threat get copies of the cards mentioned in the article with their photos and info on it and watch ‘em squirm.

And this is how we will all get a “mark” on your person eventually.

Without that “mark” you will not be able to buy or sell, or work.

And so it goes, the march to eventual..

Penalties are not near what they should be for fake/stolen identities even when people are caught. Supporters of illegals won’t allow stiff penalties that would apply to their precious illegals.

This country is paying dearly in many ways for allowing illegals to remain here.
