It is becoming obvious that we are in a war with another civilization that has radically different values. (If it can be said that Western Civilization has any values at all!)
Of course, the media can denounce Santorum for his satan remarks, yet give credibility to lunatics who value a book over human life. There is an Afghani middle and upper middle class who are, more or less, normal, rational human beings. Yet there’s this enormous lunatic fringe in almost all these middle eastern countries. It’s a no win situation for whoever is President. Obama is smart enough to realize his apology isn’t going to sway the nuts- but it might neutralize the so-called independents- those on the fringe. I don’t like the idea of apologizing, but if it saves the lives of the people protecting us in this Afghani hellhole, I gotta support it 100%.
