We wouldn’t sell these. It is a shame that Taiwan did not declare independence after Tienanmen Square. However the ruling part, the KMT is a Chinese party whose allegiance is to the mainland. They have given up their dreams of conquering it, and want to merge with it now that the PRC is less communist than fascist and Han supremacist with socialist leanings, just like the old KMT.

It is time that our allies start sharing the defense burdens. In Asia, the Four Tigers should buy Tridents and we should sell them to them. There is no risk that they will switch sides over the next two decades. As for the KMT, why are they considering purchasing diesel subs if they are supposedly so cosy with the PRC? I agree with your assessment that China is fascist and Han supremicist, but disagree that they only have "socialist leanings" The PRC is still a full-tilt mixture of communism and fascism.
