These people are insane. There is no arguing with them. They make up "facts" to fit their agendas and then express hatred toward those who disagree with their mischaracterizations.

Example: The Susan Komen organization did not reverse its decision because of "public opinion". It did so because of massive pressure from Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and other powerful elements within the pro-abortion lobby.

exactly, these people commit acts and then shout it is the other side doing it.
The GOP then defends itself instead of getting infront of this.

Ever tried to point out to a radical lefty the facts on issues like this, planned parenthood , girl scouts, their billionaires who support the left etc?

Not one Dem yet has ever heard of the facts, heck I know plenty who have no clue about this Govt gun running to drug lords which in turn commit murder including our own or even using tax money to pay off donors .

They are so twisted with lies and distortions from the Huff post to Kos, to move on to the MSM that they cannot grasp the basic facts let along the more complex issues and always come down with name calling or insinuations.

I went to see "Act of Valor" last night, and there was a speech where one of the SEAL members said (and I paraphrase): "I will respect the views of others, and demand that they respect mine..."

When I left the theater, that statement was still turning over in my head.

Could I do that? Could I "respect" the views of liberals, especially the views expressed by this person who wrote the article posted?

I cannot quite bring myself to embrace this concept. I do give "default respect" to people who haven't said or done things that would be mutually incompatible with respect.

I guess it is clear this SF author does NOT "respect" my views, so I am not bound to respect his. Still trying to wrestle this one down.

Hah. Never mind, the quote doesn’t apply. I was working off memory, but when I read it, it applies to religion.

Well, on second thought, Liberism IS a religion...
