[ Gov. Walker will not challenge recall signatures ]
Wise move.. either the voters own Wisconsin -OR- the Unions do..
Note: the Unions being all the teachers(academia), police, fire fighters and state and federal workers.. and others..
I'm also doing data entry. How did she find that out? Did she search on a paid search site? I'd like to do the same but I can't afford to pay to search.
Most of the polls that I have seen were polling knotheads in Madison and Milwaukee. Gee, golly - not accurate and slanted to the recall effort propaganda.
Secondly - the Dems have a BIG problem with a candidate. Kathleen Falk was a disaster - union rank and file / Wisc. Teacher’s union etc. did NOT like the national union thug bosses telling them who to WILL put on the ballot. She make a big boo boo (legally actually) by signing a letter stating she would reverse Walkers new rules. Tee hee. Backfired big time. Called Quid Pro Quo.
Thirdly - IMHO I have NEVER in my life heard complete strangers bring up both the recall “waste of my tax money” and “Obama has GOT TO GO” conversations. Never!
I think and hope that my gut instinct is correct in that Walker will win big
win big? How? Odds are against him on this. Can he be elected again?
How does that work?
Still working at it and I had someone with the last name of Watermelon ;)
I’ll continue entering data as well, no reason to stop unless there is nothing left to enter!
I have NO doubt that a healthy 30% of those signatures can be proven false, fraudulant,or forged. There were what I would guess husband and wife names where the signature was exactly the same - is that not forgery?
I had more pages of 1 signature than I did of 10!
There were x’s, scribbles, lines and most definately the signatures of children!
No way do they have a million signatures -
My sense is that Gov. Walker understands these numbers and thus is confident that he would survive the election.
I pray that good defeats evil, again.
LOL! That’s a good one!
How are the odds against Walker winning big? I think he’ll win very big, just like Alberta Darling did. The Dems tried to make us believe that Alberta would go down in a recall last summer and she won big time. Now, it turns out, that (according to Verify the Recall) that there weren’t really enough valid signatures to force her into an election.
I’m not too upset anymore. I say bring on the election and let’s get this over with. We have the public on our side and we still have a lot of work to do in this state. This is just a big distraction for the governor and others. The sooner we put these dogs down, the better.
That’s interesting because my friend who has been counting estimated that a third of the signatures she looked at were illegitimate which jibes with these overall numbers.
If they don’t challenge the signatures how will he win?
I’m doing data input. Am I wasting my time?
If it could get done by the election (hopefully there is still a way around an election) it would be priceless for campaign ads: The recall isn't legitimate. Vote Walker so that the duly elected office of Governor isn't stolen in the great state of Wisconsin!

No, Princess. The number of signatures just schedules the votes. Then there will be a real election. And in that election probably against Falk, the dems will be arguing to bring back union collective bargaining, which less than 30 percent of the population cares about.
You are not wasting your time. Part of an email from VTR says:
On Monday, Governor Scott Walker and the Republican Party of Wisconsin (RPW) made the decision to not submit any challenges to the GAB against gubernatorial recall signatures, stating that the campaign did not have enough time to complete its investigation.
Yet in a statement made by RPW Communications Director Ben Sparks, the Walker campaign recognized that “independent groups of concerned citizens have conducted their own verification of [the gubernatorial] recall petitions,” and urged the GAB to take the findings from independent groups “into account over the course of [the GAB’s] review.”
Essentially, Governor Walker and RPW have deferred their challenges to the findings of Verify The Recall.
This news came as a surprise to VTR today, yet it does not alter our goals in any way. Our mission remains the same: we will analyze the validity of all recall signatures and present our factual findings to the public and to the GAB.
That said, it is important to realize that VTR is now the only organization that will analyze the validity of each and every signature submitted to the GAB for the gubernatorial recall. Consequently, your data entry efforts have become more important than ever!
Thankfully, as the result from your data entry efforts, we are well over 90% complete with the data entry process. Please continue to enter data throughout this week so that we can submit our findings to the GAB as soon as possible!
Note that the signature challenge deadline for the Walker campaign does not apply to VTR. We are working as a “friend” of the process. We will submit factual, well-documented information to the GAB in order to assist the GAB with their own review process. We are presenting the truth to the GAB, who will, in turn, consider the truth when determining recall signature eligibility.
If the GAB refuses to freely consider VTR’s findings, VTR is prepared to take the GAB to court over the matter. We hope such action is not necessary, but are prepared for this scenario. The truth must be accounted for; anything less is simply not acceptable
The responsibility of upholding the integrity of Wisconsin’s political processes is now held solely by the PEOPLE of Wisconsin, yet such an important responsibility could NOT be in better hands! Please keep up the great work, and let’s finish the job we started!
Thanks
Another question:
Who will do the final checking of the names that are checked ‘no’ and ‘don’t know’? Is there still time for that?
I’ve notice that there are a lot of people in WI who can’t write clearly
but I wonder if that is o purpose.
Thank You
I’ll resume my input.
