I think it's another perverted consequence of PC diplomacy.
It's not just that kind of liberal PC bullcrap, it also goes back to the PC affirmative action union bullcrap that has given us the worthless teachers and ultra-liberal school admin we have in a lot of the schools today.
Thankfully it hasn't infected my small town very much.......yet.
Most of the people I know who have kids in any grade in school teach their kids to "not start it but finish it". Since most of my close friends with kids are also police officers the teachers here would be hard-pressed to push their liberal ideology through their punishment.....because they would get a very adverse reaction from my friends.

The shooter and victims rode the same bus. Buses are like Lord of the Flies on wheels. After I read that I had to figure this shooter was a victim of bullying. Bus drivers pretty often ignore bullying.

Are laws different for police? I thought all were equal in the eyes of the law.

Laws are the same. It's just that my title and position may force a liberal progressive teacher or administrator to really think about what they're going to say to the me (as the parent) as opposed to say a parent they usually would interact with.
I never said anything about ignoring or breaking laws.......I know me and my fellow officers (here) are going to know the law better than the liberal progressive teacher and be able to utilize it quicker and more efficiently to my benefit instead of that liberal progressive teacher or administrator using their title and position over a parent who doesn't know any better.
