The Obama administration has been saying recently that there is no evidence that Iran has made a decision to actually assemble a nuclear weapon. If there is a war with Iran and it goes badly (significant casualties, lost ships or strategic goals not achieved), Obama will lose the election. Behind the scenes they are putting pressure on Israel not to attack. The big question is will Bibi comply? Would not be surprised to see most elements of the 5th fleet depart the Persian Gulf in the next three weeks or shortly after Bibi returns to Israel after his meeting with Obama in March.
