One of the things that soured me on Glenn Beck was his constant TV show promotion of the appellation, "Progressives" when referring to the enemy within.

The Left hates the terms "liberals", "socialists", "leftists". "communists", "marxists"....i.e., anything that accurately describes these traitors of the Republic.

It's a disservice, an affront and a crime to call them "Progressives" as there's nothing progressive at all about their ideology...only doom, death, desperation and destruction is their end game.....as history has proven over and over again.

Your post made me chuckle because all you have to do is change the names around and you get a replay of the Florida debacle for Newt.

Your implicit equivalence of Newt and Rick would make me chuckle, if there were not so much at stake.

Newt is far better qualified for the job. Santorum isn't even good at campaigning, much less on policy and command of the subject matter. He got himself mired in the weeds on social issues and kept on talking. He's like a dog you take hunting and he runs around barking and scaring off all the game. He can't comfortably (or perhaps even competently) address issues like opening American energy, so he defaults to platitudes about Faaamily ( ~ "for the chilllldren" ) like a pandering Dem. And then he draws all the wrong kinds of attention.

I feel that Newt is opur only chance, but convincing enough others of that is a tough job.

What Newt is proposing is the polar opposite of what Obama is doing.

We can easily see the results of Obama’s policy’s why is there even a shadow of a doubt that we have to rid America of this dork.Obama has to go or America is done for.

You have one problem. Newt cannot win the nomination. He may win GA, but in many races he polls behind Ron Paul.

Newt has a likability problem. People just don’t like him.
Apparently Santorum has been far better than Newt at campaigning.

Why? Because Santorum is doing better than Newt against Romney. Newt has been skipping states all over the place and has marginalized himself.

When Newt goes into a church to campaign, why, to some of you, thats great....but when Santorum goes into a church...he is bad and Saint Rick. LOL

I know it is hard to make a case when Newt isn’t doing so well in these races. But eventually you have to realize that your are backing a lost cause.

There really is only one smell test here. It is the fact that Newt and Santorum have been ineffective at attacking Romney.

Newt has been very effective in attacking Obama. Too bad Mitt and Rick are so ham-handed in that regard.

Imagine if Newt dropped out. How would Rick know what to campaign on?

“...there’s nothing progresive at all about their ideology...only doom, death, desperation and destruction...”

The problem is that they think they’re bringing paradise to the earth and all their followers follow them like lemmings off the cliff. Unfortunately, they drag everyone else with them.

They are becoming very tiresome, very irritating and aggravating in their pretension and posturing as supreme intellectuals.

IMHO

He could always focus on appealing to women voters. As he may have been trying to do last night when he said, "The men and women who signed that Declaration wrote the final phrase, 'We pledge to each other our lives, our fortune, and our sacred honor."

I guess there are women in the penumbra there... ;)

Let's face it, last night Mitt Romney pulled off a squeaker in Michigan; his name, Rick Santorum.

Please, I have heard them all attack Obama.

The secret is that you have to pay attention to what they all say.

People around here make a choice and that is the only person they hear.

The voters in these primaries have been listening and making their choices. I don’t agree with all their choices, but to say only Newt has attacked Obama is not a fact.

There is no doubt all the powers that be in the GOP and the media have set the whole primary system up to tip the weight to Romney. The other guys have to fight with fewer dollars and ground teams than Romney. The media harps on Newt and Rick constantly as they blow things out of proportion.

I despise early voting and believe it should be ended. Nobody should be able to vote until election day. In many of these states, the voters have bought the Mitt inevitibility, per the MSM, prior to active campaigning by others.

It all stinks

Which I did not do.

I said that Rick and Mitt were ham-handed and Newt was effective.

That is a fact.

You know, you run around saying some pretty unkind things on Santorum threads.

I haven’t posted anything on this thread anywhere near as nasty as some of what you have posted against Santorum.

Someone says Boo, and you throw a hissy fit and run and tell Mommy. Whaaaa whaaaa, mommy, he was mean to me.

Childish knee jerk reaction that was. Grow up. If it ends up your candidate against the Obama machine, you would never survive it.

LOL! Actually, I think one of the reasons Santorum appeals to women voters is that he comes across as sort of weak and effeminate himself, and for some reason women seem to love these "qualities."
