Just to let everyone know; a tornado has hit just south of Elizabethtown (E-Town), Ky. Multiple homes have been damaged and the Harry Owens Trucking headquarters has collapsed, trapping multiple people underneath.
All roads in the area have been blocked by debris, downed trees, and emergency vehicles. I'll post updates as I can.
Prayers up for those trapped at HOT.

I’ve had to go into the basement at my business three times today due to tornado warnings. It’s a cool storm to watch, and one of the nearby buildings had some trapped employees due to damage, but ultimately it’s just a bad storm.
The scary part was having to close the window to my new shed at 3:00 a.m. as the downpour started in the middle of a huge electrical storm. To get past the 4x8 plywood temporary seal where the door will be, I had to remove what is propping it in place - a large aluminum ladder - while lightning was flashing all around me. It was kinda scary.
Apparently my commute this evening will be interesting as hwy 210 got hammered.

It’s gonna be one of those days.
I was just fixing to get out of the utility room in the center of my house when another warning for Nelson County got issued.
Got my computer, heart meds, and guns with me.
Called my daughter in Louisville, apparently that area is getting missed.
One of my coworkers is the deputy chief of a local volunteer fire department, and he said that several homes were completely destroyed, the Harry Owen Trucking building totally collapsed, the Dow Corning plant has damage, and the trailer park beside Dow Corning was pasted with four trailers destroyed and several people injured.
Thanks for posting !! Was able to reach family there via facebook and cell phone, thankfully all is ok for therm in Hodgenville, but from what nephew said, the town is pretty messed up. Folks driving through, please be careful!! I am told a lot of the roads are blocked.
WHAS 11 reports that
"The Harry Owen Trucking Company and National Distributors Leasing near Lincoln Parkway has suffered major damage. Insulation is strewn all about after the roof was ripped from the building. Metal tankers and semi trucks have been flipped over.""No one was at the trucking company when the storm hit, but several witnesses have reported seeing a funnel cloud in the area. The damages appear to be in an area about two to three blocks wide."

One of the big problems is the damage from the straight-line winds. They were clocked as high as 55-65mph. A lot of roofs are missing shingles...and some roofs are missing altogether. The roof here at work suffered some damage, so have had to block off part of the store until it can be repaired.
It was quite a morning.
In the center of the second photo, you can see one of the Harry Owen Trucking buildings. The demolished building was of similar size and used to be right beside it.
The National Weather Service has confirmed that it was an EF-2 tornado, packing winds of 120-125 mph.
Another tornado hit a couple of small towns southwest of here, destroying several houses, mobile homes, barns, and a gas station.
Thankfully there are only two confirmed injuries, and both of them are minor.
