WASHINGTON Rep. David Dreier, the powerful chairman of the House Rules Committee, announced on the House floor Wednesday that he will not seek another term. He becomes the latest lawmaker to decide to retire because redistricting that complicated his re-election plans.
Dreiers retirement would end a three-decade-long career representing his Los Angeles County district that began in 1980, the year Ronald Reagan entered the White House.

Another “Free-Market/RINO” bites the dust! :-)!
Presumably to be replaced by a Dem. according to articles the Dems are basing their hopes to retake the House on gains in Kali.
I’d like to say this was a good thing, but in California it is only more of the one-party take-over of our state by the Democrats.
I’d rather have Dreier in there than the far-left lockstep Dem who is sure to replace him.
Therefore, supporting free markets is a conservative position, which seriously conflicts with any RINO label.
Which other Conservative issues do you allege Dreier opposed?
I'm not sorry to see him go, necessarily, but it looks like we can expect this district to flip Democrat.
Some here will make rumblings about his rumored sexuality as a parting shot.

Dreier is among the top 20% of conservatives in the House.
