Once all were enfranchised via Constitutional Amendment, it was all over but the shouting.

There is no putting those horses back in the barn.

There was no right to vote in the Constitution because the Founders were clear that they didn't want everyone to have a right to vote, for that would make us a sure to fail democracy.

They studied history, and knew that democracies don't work.

"Democracies have been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their death." James Madison

Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide. John Adams: letter to John Taylor, April 15, 1814

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.:Thomas Jefferson

We are doomed, only a matter of time.

We are doomed, only a matter of time.

If history holds any lessons for us, it's that you just may be right about that. So, what do we do in the meantime?
