Despite Mitt wins, both sides keep eying Jeb (MSM pushing Jeb)

Mitt Romney’s tortured triumph in Michigan put him back in the GOP driver’s seat — but that hasn’t quelled the desire among some Republicans to trade up.

Yes, Republicans are still pining for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, despite his repeated and vehement refusal to be sucked into the 2012 Republican vortex.

And Democrats continue to cast a wary eye on a guy they see as more dangerous — and capable of connecting with middle-class and Latino voters — than Romney.

A choice between aged RINO meat and well marbled RINO meat.

Hmmmmh, I thought Rick and Mitt got the same number of delegates. Not much of a win for Mitt if you want to call it that.

They can only perpetuate the Clinton/Bush for so long. This administration is full of Clintonites, especially through think tanks. Time to move on. People will not go for another Bush.

Only Newt can beat Obama. But the RINO's are desperate to find one of their own to take a chance.

The only one who can beat Obama is the anti-Obama...not the next closest thing.

What the hell makes these folks think they can get 1,144 delegates to vote for Jeb Bush?

Of course there's a far more sinister path where the board of the GOP could suspend all rules concerning how candidates are selected and simply ANNOUNCE who the candidate would be.

I would encourage everyone to leave the GOP...up and down the ticket...if that occurs.

Everyone.

Make it the most lop-sided election since Stalin last ran.

Only problem is we have our own little Stalin on the other ticket and these rotten bastards could use that as leverage to force their candidate.

I will vote for Santorum. I will vote for Newt. I will vote for the nutter RP. I will even vote for Romney to jettison the Prince. But if the powers that be somehow try to inject La Raza Jeb as the nominee I will not vote for the rapublican candidate for POTUS.

Now I know that is no big deal in the scheme of things but I felt the need to lash out.

Forget it fellas!

After George W. Bush's failed presidency and after what he did to this country--no Bush has a snowball's chance in hell of getting elected.

I’ll state this as calmly as possible: The United States doesn’t want another Bush Administration. The first President Bush caused the election of Bill Clinton and W. caused us the election of Barack Obamna. I shudder to think of which Democrat would replace Jeb Bush.

"The only one who can beat Obama is the anti-Obama...not the next closest thing. "

This is an important and insightful axiom.

Many folks on this forum fail to recognize how formidable a candidate Obama is/will be. Especially with every conceivable media and popular culture outlet soundly in his corner.

Remember the sh!tbombs Romney landed on Newt between SC and FLA? Magnify that 100x and then imagine it going on for 90 consecutive days.

Plus that commie charlatan is well liked by those who receive a green US Treasury check...and every state/local municipal employee. Unions. All those teachers, janitors and bus drivers. All those businesses who derive the bulk of their revenue from the government...or are the beneficiary of favorable tax breaks and non-regulation.

And women. He'll likely win 60% and 70% of the subgroup of single women.

Hispanic vote. Black vote. Catholic vote. Jewish vote. Asian vote.

Obama walks in the door with at least 48% of the general electorate. Locked in.

People! Please don't think this is going to be easy. Don't think that because a 5th grader can figure out who the best choice is...that they'll actually choose that way when the choice is "What's good for me vs What's good for the nation".

While it's entirely possible we have Crossed the Rubicon and all hope is already lost, we must fight to our last breath, lest we be known to our enslaved posterity as the toilette scum we would otherwise be.

Our only hope is Newton Leroy Gingrich. The anti-Obama.
