With only 7% of the vote and zero delegates in MI, his presence in MI may well have been the “spoiler” role to allow Romney to scrape through a win in MI. Had Romney lost in MI, this may well have become a Santorum-Gingrich race.

Gingrich had no presence in Michigan as he left the state. He did get 7 percent of the vote but my Democrat friend said he voted absentee there to “create mischief” and I wonder how many other Democrats did that. I was hoping some of the Newt voters would go for Santorum and I bet some did but we will never really know how many. I would have wanted Santorum to win there.
