Consider this your spit-take moment of the day. After overruling Department of Energy auditors and losing $535 million on Solyndra, as well as a number of other green-tech flops, Energy Secretary Stephen Chu gives himself a pretty good grade as a steward of public funds. In fact, after Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) asks him to assign himself a grade, Chu goes one better than Barack Obama’s one-year self-assessment of a “good, solid B-plus”:

Well, I think he deserves an evaluation, but I was thinking more like A-hole, than A-minus.
Liberals are allowed an upward curve adjustment for good intentions while conservatives have a downward curve adjustment because umm, well, you know they are racists.

Liberals measure success on intentions, feelings, fairness, and total taxpayer dollars spent.... Must be nice living in the fantasyland of the public sector.
First, you must consider the mandate Obama gave him:
1-Destroy carbon based energy resources for the U.S.
2-Destroy nuclear energy resources for the U.S.
3-Destroy hydroelectric energy resources for the U.S.
4-Promote the lie that “renewable energy” has the potential to meet America’s energy needs.
5-Provide contracts and grants to my supporters in the “renewable energy” business, in spite of business models showing failure as the only possible outcome.
Against those criteria, he HAS earned an A-!!
This clown is giving them all the rope they will ever need to hang Obama if the Pubbies will just run with it.
Chu should be in prison.
But chu is so “smart” - how could this be?
I hate the way liberals misuse the word “investment”. There is a difference between expenses and investments. Exchanging cash for machinery and equipment in an investment. Exchanging cash for alcohol and cocaine is an expense. The money spent on Solyndra and the other green energy scams may as well have been spent on cocaine, hookers, and booze. The money has gone down a rathole.
We need something lower than F to grade him.

Well, it certainly wasn't spent on solar panels.
His job is a pass-fail evaluation.
