Just wait untill “DA BOYS” set your car free.

My company employs a large temp workforce.
Here in Seattle that means a Filipino majority.
And daily conversations about the cost of living in the Philippines.
Many of the white guys here already fantasize about collecting their Social Security checks at a Filipino beach house.
I grew up in south Florida - I’m not going ANYWHERE that has tropical sunshine and humidity.
They have air conditions now{:-),p> But I hear you, I had my share of the tropics. Lived in the desert 25 years.
I might have an excuse for not remembering something like that, but I will not ever forget sweating until my socks were wet in Pearl Harbor. I just checked the Temp Stats, and it look great but my memories recall a lot of sweat.
I often worked up a sweat but it was because I was working on a steel deck in the sun.
” the Big Island was actually cheap. I loved it. “
Now in Japan ( originally from CT ) but love the Big Island . Heading there in 2 weeks to celebrate our 25th wedding anniv., 2nd honeymoon and to plain enjoy some serious R&R . Renting a small house a few footsteps from the water in Kailua-Kona . Can’t wait !
Maui is overrated, but I loved Kauai.
When I was stationed in Pearl we regularly took loads to Kawaihae Bay on the north end of the island. The area was pretty much empty and far from the cities, great beaches, great water and a small restaurant. Loved it.
