According to Rebeccah Heinrichs, an adjunct fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, President Obama’s fiscal year 2013 budget request reveals that “that the president has utterly failed to make good on his promises” on nuclear modernization and missile defense.
During the ratification debate on the New Strategic Arms Reductions Treaty (New START), President Obama promised to modernize the U.S. nuclear infrastructure, claiming that such investment is “essential to facilitating reductions while sustaining deterrence under New START and beyond.” However, the Administration failed to include in its budget the additional $4.1 billion that was promised for the nuclear weapons modernization program over the next five years. On top on this, the Administration did not even bother to submit a budget request that is consistent with its nuclear modernization pledge to the Senate for the next fiscal year. The actual request is $372 million bellow what the Administration agreed to, writes Heinrichs.
The President also stated during the New START debate that he was committed to U.S. missile defense, but his budget request reveals shortfalls in this regard as well. The Administration decided to transition the Sea-Based X-band radar to a “limited test support” status. This is a budget-driven decision. North Korea’s and Iran’s advancing long-range ballistic missile programs warrant maintaining the capability that provides data essential for protecting the U.S. homeland from this threat. The Administration is also scaling back a variety of programs for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense to the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense.

Where are our representatives either Republican or Democrat that sits in congress day after day and doesn’t call this danger in the WH to task. Where are the reps to challenge the dictums ths clown comes up with. I hear voices in the chambers criticize and then sit down and do nothing.
The only signs that are positive hope in my eyes is the announcement by Olympia Snowe and prior to her Barney Frank that they will not seek another term. I interpret that as positive news and feel they know what’s in store for them if they were to seek another term. I only pray the people of this country are in a majority when it comes to understanding what is happening to it. Go Newt.
I don’t think he failed to “modernize” it. I think he failed to divulge his definition of “modernize.”
The Kenyan, traitor-in-chief wants to cut back to 400 nukes. Each Trident sub can launch 24 missiles, each carrying 4 MIRVs or about 100 per boat. We can only supply 4 ships at this rate leaving NO nukes available for the others 2 legs of our defense triad - bombers and land based missiles.
We have 5,000 warheads now but the b@stard is cutting to 1,500 ASAP.

Those guys in congress aren’t that stupid. They knew damned well what they were voting for, but they did it anyway. They weren’t suckered. Most of them are all out for themselves, and the hell with our country.

Democrats haven’t a clue as to honesty, truth about any matter, and prove it by lying be it fabricating a ploy for the purpose of demonstrating a perspective, or just outright lying as a means to an end. We all know that the Democrats have a track record of lying, do lie for any reason, or excuse, and will lie for cocktails, sex, or money, and to “H” with the country. If caught in a lie they will lie their way out of it.
If we all know this then the bozo’s in Congress damned well know it. Time to change the sludge in the Congressional crankcase.
