Kabul, Afghanistan — Five American service members and an Afghan-American linguist were directly involved in the burning of Korans at a NATO base, an event a week ago that plunged Afghanistan into days of violent protests, according to the preliminary conclusions of a joint military investigation. “All six will be referred to the proper U.S. authorities for further action,” said an official familiar with the joint Afghan-American investigation into the Koran burnings, who was not authorized to speak about it publicly. Significantly, the five service members found responsible so far include military

Fine them the cost of the lighter fluid, give them a carton of cigarettes and a new duty station.

Newt has told obama today to either get an apology for the murder of our service men or pull out immediately. It is on FR.

How pretencious are the Fuzzy-Wuzzies, to think we would respect them after 9/11?

Who the 7734 (upside down and backwards) do they think they are messing with?

When that weak (cusswords) piece of {something} is out of the Oval Office, I will expect this country to rise up and beat the living daylights out of the cowards who think America is puny. But don’t get me started!

You have to be kidding me. Some PFC is told to get rid of this stuff— burn it! And he/she is supposed to be all about the cultural niceities of disposing a Koran.

If you were to ask 1000 people on any street the proper way of disposing a “holy book” I bet at least half would say burning...I know I would.

Tell the afghans to GFT.

I am so sick of our world being run by little boys who are afraid of getting the bully mad.

If one hair these mens head is harmed, I hold Obama personally responsible.

Hold their weak-kneed chain of command responsible first. If they weren't so stuck on PC, they would have claimed that they couldn't determine who actually did it.

“All six will be referred to the proper U.S. authorities for further action,”Well, let’s see, if we use history as our guide, one is an Afghan interpreter so we can toss him out. This leaves five U.S. troops. So, I’m guessing four of them will be low ranking enlisted, probably E-3’s and E-4’s. The “leader” may be a buck sgt, E-5. If an officer, probably a butter bar. I guarantee that there will be no field grade officers will be fingered, they take care of their own...

“The blame lies with those who do not vote for the nominee.”

I disagree. The way I see it most of the blame lies with the party bosses and their cronys in the media like FOX, Drudge, Hannity, etc., who promote/bash who they’re told to so that (in this case) Romney finally wins the nomination.

A good many conservatives are tired of being played like a violin and simply won’t play that game anymore. Conservatives want a true conservative candidate. Period.

The GOPe knows this but clearly doesn’t care. Therefore they shoulder the lion’s share of the blame if obama wins another four.

“I’d be banned for everything I want to say.”

And your words would be most welcome nonetheless!

The treatment of our military warriors at the hands of these miscreants is beyond treasonous!

Do they not give aid and comfort to the enemy? Do they not dispirit those who face battle on our behalf? To what purpose?

When did the President last speak of victory? Or espouse a moral purpose for what we have done militarily?

There is much that needs corrected — and quickly! This Commander in Chief is unfit for duty!

Every Republican in 'Leadership' should be saying same; including all Repub Candidates. WE KNOW where Newt stands. What about the rest of them? Leaders here - or not?

America needs to hear; as do our enemies; a loud and clear message of support for our Military and yes, their decision to burn Korans - already defiled, for God's sake by Muslim own dictum. Not that even this, should make a difference in our supporting our Military.

We don't defile those who disagree with us; we do not burn Churches and Synagogues and as well; burn or behead human beings who share different religious habitats or just beliefs.

Now there is contempt to be investigated per the authentic atrocities of radical Islamists.

Where are the ALL the voices?

If so much as one word of the Koran is altered it is punishable by death. The deaths should be those who used their Korans to send messages and altered them.

Our guys disposed of violated documents, but if altered it is not the Koran.

Just spray the poppy fields (Tordon, anyone?) and get out.

... by starting with answering the question where would America be without its military/ where would the world be without that same military with a emphasis on global peace, stability and progress.

Sadly, the Usurper used our Military to DE-stablilze Egypt and Libya, and no doubt is attempting to do all he can to aid his Muslim Brotherhood 'friends'. The result has been higher oil prices and continuing problems in the Middle East.

This is an unforgivable betrayal of our troops, and cultivates an indifference to the welfare of the powers that are responsible for this corruption of honor.

I noticed you didn't mention any enlisted E-7 or above. I concur, same reason as the field grade officers.
