What's wrong with this picture: Arizona and Alabama pass legislation mandating that police officers enforce Federal immigration laws - and are sued for doing so by the Federal government. And now this: a mayor of a major city orders her police to REFUSE to enforce those laws - and will face no lawsuit whatsoever.
The inmates are truly running the asylum in America, when it comes to illegal immigration.
The latest demonstration of this finds Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake of Baltimore, MD, ordering the city police and all other agencies to prohibit any inquiry about citizenship status "to protect new Americans from discrimination." The Mayor is signing an executive order that effectively stops any local enforcement of federal immigration laws.
The order also states that no city money or resources may be used to question, investigate, or arrest based on actual or suspected violation of federal immigration laws. Mayor Blake said:
“Throughout Baltimore’s great history, we have strived to be a place that welcomes foreign-born residents to participate fully in civic life, recognizing that our city’s ethnic and cultural diversity is a key element to strong and growing neighborhoods,” Mayor Rawlings-Blake said. “This new Executive Order clarifies existing anti-discrimination policies and local law enforcement practices in Baltimore and makes clear that discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated under any circumstances.”So we can't have "discrimination" between law-abiding citizens and law-breaking invaders. Shall we also end discrimination against burglars - er, "undocumented houseguests" - as well?

Let’s put it this way: if their illegal population rose to 40% of Baltimore’s entire population, the city would be a lot better off. It is as disgusting a U.S. city as I’ve ever seen. “Charm City” is the Panhandler Capitol of the World. I absolutely HATE going there except for its one saving grace, Johns Hopkins.
City of Hayward, CA, doesn`t enforce neither.
I’ve been to Baltimore once. Specifically a Red Sox vs. Orioles game. As long as you didn’t wander too far away on foot from the Inner Harbor, Camden Yards sports area or any of the other major tourist areas you felt kinda safe. Outside of those areas it looked like a war zone.
This idiot is living proof of why I left Baltimore in 1966 and only came back to see family and run a business for a while.
O’Malley turned out to be a marxist. Dixon is in jail. Pelosi’s brother Tommy D’Alessandro Jr or III or whatever, let black extremists burn down the city and most Jewish small businesses (which resulted in many decent black workers losing their jobs).
Charm City should be called “Cesspool City”. If you’re a rich Democrat liberal, you can afford to live in gated communities and expensive hi-rises, or in Baltimore County, but otherwise, you’re stuck in crime-city, at the risk of your life.

From what I`ve seen of Baltimore, it reminds me way too much of Oakland, CA.
In VA, we like having MD as our northern neighbor. It reminds us things could always be worse.
Why doesn’t Baltimore, just tell the feds they no longer want to be part of U.S.and they wish to form their own country.They certainly do not believe in us being a nation of laws. Same as what Cailf is doing.Hook them both up with each other.Cut off all federal aid programs and wish them a happy life.Don’t call us and we want call you.
