Don’t go all wobbly.
Rush’s audience will skyrocket with all this publicity.
The free market will replace any advertisers overnight. Rush is the single largest radio audience out there.
Maybe not overnight but they will find replacements. Rush, by the way, is paid a salary by contract. This doesn't hurt his revenue an iota but it will make the network suffer short term. The worst that will happen is that the network may offer discounted rates for awhile to attract new customers but it won't take them very long.
And those new advertisers will have the benefit of picking up Rush as an advertiser just in time for the 2012 campaign which is when more listeners tune in.
Let these weak-kneed advertisers walk. It's better to be hungry at times and what better time for Rush to be motivated than during the general election?
I stand with Rush Limbaugh. Think I'll be ordering some cases of his iced tea...
