Presidential candidate Rick Santorum joined Fox News Sunday to discuss his campaign and preview this weeks Super Tuesday primary contests. Santorum said he believes he will do very well in Ohios primary, regardless of the money disadvantage. He said he and Gingrich are slugging away as the anti-Romney alternative.
Chris Wallace pressed Santorum on the current debate about birth control, showing a clip of Santorum saying he believes contraception is morally wrong. Santorum said that hes reflecting the views of the church he believes in, and that the government should not be forcing people to do things that are against their conscience. He said, The idea that the government can force people to do things that they believe are morally wrong is something that was seen as an outrage.

Nice pre-super Tuesday hit piece by Wallace. Ailes had to love it. Somehow they always give the clown makeup artist to the most conservative candidate too. Mitt was the only one that looked like he didn’t have a skin disease on Huckabee last night.
This was a dreadful interview. Chris Wallace just badgered Santorum and woudl not listen to anything Santorum had to say. I don’t think that Wallace even understood what the objections to the HHS mandate are by the Catholic (and others) church. It was disgraceful.
Yes, it was a dreadful interview on Wallace’s part, but Santorum was dreadfully ineffective at redirecting the conversation where it needed to go, and was back on his heels the whole time. He should hope not too many supporters saw it.
Santorum seemed angry.
..later in the news show that followed Fox News Sunday, he told one of the anchors that Santorum had a really bad cold and was feeling it.
A positive article from Fox News to Santorum....well wonders never cease. Man they were being so snarky about him on Wednesday after Michigan that I wanted to throw something at the TV. Maybe they finally believe he is the best man to be President during these times where family values are nil and our economy needs President Santorum to fix it.
..In spite of this being a hit piece by Wallace...and yes, he did badger quite a bit.....and hoped to trip Santorum.
Rick Santorum MORE than held his own and quite graciously!!!
Santorum's responses were measured and articulate and sound!!!---GOOD FOR RICK!
I called the Fox News comment line to say Chris Wallace should be FIRED! Will my fellow FReepers join me?

====> Wallace gives UNfair, and UNbalanced, interviews.
Wallace gives Romney a softball interview. For instance (correct me if I’m wrong), Chris Wallace never asked Romney why he supported “No child left behind,” but yet, asks Rick Santorum why he voted for it. (btw, 90% of the senators voted for it, and there were good things in that bill, as well as the bad).
ANYWAY, here’s Romney’s position on it, and it’s from Fox News. Doesn’t Chris Wallace read Fox News stories:
(ROMNEY) “I respect the fact that he put in place No Child Left Behind. I know a lot of people in my party don’t like it, but I do like it. snip”

Chris Wallace attacks conservative Republicans, like when he called Bachmann a flake, and today rotten cherry picked questions to Rick Santorum.
I’m watching the interview. Chris Wallace acts as if he wants to rattle Rick Santorum. Santorum has admitted making mistakes, like his “snob” remark, and there is no point in dredging that up.
Chris Wallace is a big waste of air time. He is rude, crude and socially unacceptable. He thinks coming up with five gotcha question is news journalism.
I saw the interview. He was pretty tough on ole Ricky boy. I’m surprised he didn’t tell Chris to lighten up this Fox News right!
You guys want Wallace to ask the tough questions now or would you prefer Obama to ask them in the fall? Actually, Wallace was asking for clarification from inaccurate comments Santorum has made in the past. I thought Santorum did a terrible job. He was especially bad regarding the charitable contributions. He is spending millions to become president and yet he is at 1.76%? He blamed it on the expensive care of his daughter and his other children. He said these medical expenses are not covered by healthcare and I don’t believe that, he is a former senator. This will haunt him. Wallace pointed out that this has been his level of contributions for years and he argued with him saying it was 3 to 4%.
Don't even bother to watch him any more but caught 2 minutes of this mornings disgrace.
Rick just did not acquit himself very well and will need to get a lot sharper to take on Barky and the ‘rats in the fall.
Yet there are some who believe Saintorum could go up against Obama... LOL... not a chance.
I didn’t watch much of the Sunday shows.
Did he get that embarrassed/I don’t know what to say look in his eyes?
Yes because Obama is just such a damn genius. Only Newt, who was rolled weekly by CLinton can stand up to the genius.
Chris Wallace needs his ass kicked. He states that last year Obama gave 14% of his income to charity but somehow neglects the fact that the Obamas gave less than 1% for the years prior to his running for POTUS and hitting it rich with his garbage books.
