A San Antonio court threw out the old maps, and put in redrawn ones that just happen to heavily favor the Democrats;and then the Supreme Court reached down from DC and mightily spanked the San Antonio court for that (although a 9-0 reversal is perversely impressive).
Well, if it kicks Lliberal Lloyd Dogsh!t out of Congress, that’s good enough for me.
And the results are?
... "perversely impressive"
Most excellent news!
Any actual details? Does the GOP pick up some seats?
I am surprised that someone hasn’t developed a spreadsheet application that would take Census population data, and create districts of equal population size, using existing boundaries and having the smallest possible perimeter.
That would negate the fun each party has gerrymandering districts.....
Apparently that’s racist, or something.
It would be easy to create a program that would generate districts using census data that are as compact as possible, taking into account existing city/county boundries. I’m not even sure the boundry issues are relevant for congressional/senate seats, but have been considered pretty much forever.
I can guarantee that your idea would eliminate the minority-majority, government mandated district that I live in would no longer exist.
I guess that is why it isn’t done.

Sorry...
LULAC and the other bunerable minority whiner groups would not allow a “spreadsheet” application to determine the outcome of this compiled data due to the chance that the “spreadsheet” was invented by a white man, or men...
That could drag out the process another few months...Which would work for them...

Let’s just hope that they don’t look like they were drawn by a bunch of little kids this time.
