Journalists are much more tolerant of attacks on Christianity than Islam. It is a fact.
ABC is airing a television show called Good Christian Bitches. Never mind the outrage over the recent Sandra Fluke business, but there is a double standard. And lets not fool ourselves as the media would never tolerate a story where Muslim was substituted for Christian in that show.
The medias present politically correct excuse is that Islam binds certain minority groups cultures in a way Christianity does not. First, that is crap and speaks of a secular ignorance about many Christian communities even in this country. Second, it is an excuse so the media does not have to admit it is scared of muslims. Youll see a news story about Christ in a jar of urine, but dont ever expect to see a cartoon of Mohammed on the nightly news. The reporter doesnt want to get murdered.
I am starting to wonder if the same holds true in the present war our country finds itself in that too few reporters are really brave enough to cover. We are at war on our southern border with Mexico and the press is really not doing justice to coverage of the war.
The latest story points out just how much of a war it is and just how badly our government and Mexico are handling themselves.
A Mexican drug leader. Oscar El Apache Castillo Flores, was released by the United States back to Mexico and immediately set about reacquiring power and killing people. He eventually is gunned down himself. His death happened this past week.
In September of 2011, Oscars brother Omar was gunned down in Texas. About the same time, someone kidnapped his wife from a Walmart in Brownsville, TX. These events rarely make national headlines.
More and more, the Mexican drug war is spilling over into the United States. American citizens are getting killed. Border agents are getting killed. Random citizens are being kidnapped. Mexico is less and less safe.
And the media rarely reports the extent of the violence or that it is spilling over into the United States. These are not acts of crime so much as acts of terror. They are escalating. Neither Republicans nor Democrats have a plan to help Mexico in this war.
Look again at the article. It has no author. Why? Because the reporter is in danger of losing his life. He must be kept anonymous. But this local reporter is willing to report and keep reporting. It is not something national reporters have yet started doing. I wonder if they are scared or just do not get how bad it is and will become.
The only other very obvious explanation is that this war does not fit into some sort of media narrative to make it newsworthy. Its Mexicans killing Mexicans and the occasional Texan. Surely thats not why the media is ignoring it. Do they not care about Mexicans and Texans?
Then have them all lined up on the southern border and head south taking over everything as we go establish Military districts and take control of the nations all the way to the tip of south america it would not only stop the drug problems and establish democratic governments all the way down but open up a whole new world of natural resources, help establish better schools and other institutes that most of these countries lack now and it will remove all the dictators along the way and remove the incentives for illegals to come here.
We have a coward in the White House covered by cowards in the media.
What's a minority, really? It has been estimated that by the middle of this century ‘whites’ will be ~9% of world population while ‘blacks’ will be ~25-27%. There are more women than men in the world. The population of the United States is about 1/4th that of China, 1/4th that of India, and 1/3rd that of Africa.
The media isn’t covering it for a number of reasons. First, no, the media doesn’t care about Mexicans and hates Texans; anything bad that happens to Texas is celebrated in the Media.
But more importantly, the Gov’t media doesn’t cover the troubles in Mexico or the border at Gov’t insistence. That’s because the U.S. Gov’t is largely behind the mess in Mexico; its paid the Mexican gov’t to take on the Narco Kings while at the same time arming the Narco Gangs such that they can wage war on the Mexican Gov’t and people. This is the ploy that’s worked for the U.S. gov’t in Afghanistan, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, now in Syria, the aim being slightly different in the case of Mexico however. In the case of Mexico, its difficult to tell just how far the U.S. Gov’t plans to go with its proxy conflict. It could use the war as an excuse to invade Mexico, take it over and merge the countries. That’s pretty far fetched. I think that actually, the initial purpose of escalating the conflict in Mexico has been acheived, i.e., closing the border to U.S. citizens who might otherwise wish to go to Mexico. The second reason for supporting the conflict is to/will be, to escalate the conflict to the point that U.S. troops have to get involved on the U.S. side of the border as an excuse to impose martial law as an excuse to disarm the Anglo population and to pay the Narco gangs to kill the remaining Anglo population in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.
Let’s not overlook the cowards in the GOP who won’t challenge the Democrats, who roll over or resign on demand. Let’s not overlook the cowards who cave to liberals and apologize to them. Let’s not overlook the millions who won’t even write their Congressman, much less attend a protest or a rally. Let’s not overlook people who won’t wear the uniform, fly the flag, or paste a bumper sticker to their fender, lest they be endangered, criticized, or keyed.
Only the brave made this the land of the free.
What will they say when “ Red Dawn “ begins
Well, hows about we go dig up General Pershing and LT Patton and get them on the job!
Who’s LT Patton?
Do you mean General George S. Patton?
