Somewhere on the Internet - someone posted that Gingrich was a progressive...my searching has not really found anything to support this...beyond unconfirmed and unverified websites...
IS this true?
Or is it an attempt to slant a very viable candidate that would turn the US back into a traditional and patriotic nation again?

There is a lot of stuff on the Internet. Newt is NOT a progressive. He's pushed the conservative movement.
He’d have to be the most incompetent progressive of all time. What progressive do you know who became Speaker of the House for 4 years and did nothing but pass conservative legislation and fight with a liberal president? Nancy Pelosi was the progressive Speaker of the House, not Newt.
