AllState, Sears Join List Of Advertisers Announcing No More Ads On Limbaugh
Mediaite ^ | March 5, 2012 | James Crugnale

The furor over Rush Limbaugh‘s controversial comments directed at Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke has lead to advertisers dropping his eponymous radio program. 12 advertisers, including Sleep Number, The Sleep Train, Quicken Loans, Legal Zoom, Citrix, Carbonite, ProFlowers, AOL, Bonobos, Sears, and Allstate Insurance have pulled ads from the program, and/or distanced themselves from the show, either permanently or temporarily, ThinkProgress’s Adam Peck reports.

“Allstate’s advertising purchase strategy has not included the Rush Limbaugh Show,” the company wrote in a statement on their Facebook page. “Earlier today, we responded to inquiries about our advertising relationship with the show by stating we did not advertise on or sponsor it. As radio listeners notified us that they were hearing Allstate ads during the show this afternoon, we contacted the vendor that arranges for our advertising placements and discovered that an error had been made and advertising time had mistakenly been purchased for the show.”

Don't know about Schultz, but Maher is on HBO.

No advertising there, just people who pay for the privilege of paying for HBO. I think HBO owns Cinemax as well.

I was waiting for HBO to air the anti Palin Movie before I called to cancel to make a point, but now I'll also bring up Bill Maher’s misogynist treatment of Conservative Women when I make the call.

I can't wait for the first reporter to ask Obama if he will call on his Super Pac to return Bill Maher’s MILLION DOLLAR Donation. I'm sure it will come up at Obama’s
presser tomorrow. /s

But in this case - just over the weekend - I was trying to decide whether to go to Sears to buy new tires for my daughters car or a local guy. I was going to buy from Sears for the warranty.

If you have a Costco in your area, check them out.

May have some liberals in their corporate management, but the guy who checks my basket when I leave ALWAYS has a "God bless you" and it's ALWAYS "Merry Christmas".

First Sears and Kmart closings of 2012 concentrated in Midwest and South

Sears Holdings, owner of the perpetually troubled retailer power couple Sears and Kmart, has released the locations of 80 out of the 100 to 120 "under-performing" stores that will close in the coming months. Most of the stores on this first list are in the southern and midwestern U.S.

I have 5 cars, 2 trailers, 1 motorcycle, 1 high dollar offroad car, Home, Umbrella policy, with Allstate.

You've obviously never had a claim with them or if you have, it was for something small because you would have switched long ago. Allstate will lie, cheat, steal and get others to lie, cheat and steal to try to keep from paying on any substantial claim. And you have to hire an attorney to file a lawsuit to get anything. Mercury Insurance is just as bad.

Sears, AOL, and Allstate.

I stopped being able to take Allstate advertising when they kept shoving that black guy in my face. Glad they’re gone - he made me sick.

In its attempt to stay in business, AOL became known as the Hotel California of subscription services, you could check in, but never check out. People that tried to cancel their subscriptions were yelled at, sworn at, and hung up on. No one in their right mind should EVER enter into a contract with them.

Sears seems to be following the lead of Builder’s Square, which was a home improvement chain in Houston (and I’m sure elsewhere). Even when it was clear that their days were numbered, they STILL stayed closed on Easter - even with Home Depot closed. They could have OWNED the market for that day, if they just would have just opened their stores (and believe me, Easter is a VERY popular time for home improvement projects in Houston - particularly outdoor ones). But no, Builder’s Square knew best and died on their sword. Sears seems to be taking the same approach - they act as if they are still the kings, but most of us has left them, for Walmart, or the Amazon. They are a skeleton of their former selves, and aside from their Craftsman tool, would be doing a great service by turning their stores back into farmland.

Any and all of these companies have lost my business, oh well. I’m sure there are lots of companies that are just hoping that Rush will help them launch their businesses. As he did when he took on the advertising of several of these that bolted when the going got tough, no staying power or ba**s, losers!

It’s high time to start dropping companies that cater to the liberal left’s agenda! You have a partial list here - act on it!

If you are using any of these companies, please change and let them know why. Only when the 45% actually overcome the 20% liberal complainers (with their media friends) will things change.

Actualy I have had many claims and not one issue. My son 16 got in a wreck, not his fault,$5000 in repairs, no problems. They paid for the repairs on the truck and went after the other guy. Well now that I think of it, none of the claims were our fault. But they were there every step of the way and followed through.

Where Allstate really fails is when YOU cause an accident and someone else is seriously hurt because of something YOU did. That person will have to go through hell to get Allstate to pay up.

It’s fine that they pay for their insured’s problems, but to me, auto insurance is more for if I cause a serious accident. I want to know that my insurance company is going to take care of the person I hurt which is where Allstate fails spectacularly.

Re: 87 and 91
Will be terminating Allstate policy tomorrow, but I did send them an email to see what they would say.

I’ll also be terminating my Allstate car insurance. Will call them tomorrow.

If I may ask, what was their response?
I'm a 30+ year Allstate policy owner. I haven't had to use them, so I can't really give a grade on their performance, but all things being equal I'd rather not change.
It wasn't clear from this article that they actually pulled their Ads from Rush Limbaugh's show. It almost sounded like they never really had Ads directed towards his show. And I saw a list floating around where Allstate was not listed as one of those that pulled their Ads (nor were they listed as a Company that remained sponsors -- like LifeLock). Yesterday someone also cited Vitacost as a company that pulled their Ads. Vitacost wasn't on the list, but their alleged responses to two different individuals did sound like they pulled their Advertisements in response to this Fluke incident, so I sent them an email that I would no longer be one of their customers (I had done a good deal of business with them in the past two years).
I've been looking for similar corroboration regarding Allstate, and haven't found it yet.
