I canceled Carbonite, effective in a few months when my pre paid subscription expires.
I notified them from my Carbonite control panel..
Other FReepers have posted numerous online backups...turns out there are many.
Other FReepers poopoo the backups, claiming that they do their own backup, but as I point out, that is worthless in event of theft, fire, or other natural disasters.
If you really treasure the content of your computer, by all means find a good online backup service....One that is not beholden to the Communist.
I did too and I have some time left on my subscription to find another company.
Yes doing your own back up is not the answer. Off site is the only way.
Maybe another company that does off site back-up will advertise on RUSH.
