A Nation of Breitbarts Rallies for Rush
The American Spectator ^ | March 6, 2012 | Jeffrey Lord

Posted on 03/06/2012 4:43:11 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

Now that the Rally for Rush is in full swing -- and winning the day -- let's focus on four things.

Lifelock.

Transgendered persons.

The Washington Post.

You.

Huh? Say what?

Stick with me.

Let's start with Lifelock.

Rush fans know it well. Lifelock -- the company's "About Us" section found here is all about protecting their customers from identity theft. A decidedly big deal in the day and age of cyber pick pocketing of entire lives.

In a way one suspects the Lifelock people could never have possibly conceived a mere week ago, their symbolic image of the little robot with a keyhole in its chest -- symbolizing a life securely locked from theft -- is being transformed. Transformed into something infinitely larger than the Lifelock creative team could ever have dreamt.

[BIG SNIP]

...Which brings us to point four. All you Rush Ralliers out there.

You are doing it. As Ronald Reagan might have said, you didn't spend this day just marking time.

The American Spectator website was briefly crashed by the huge pro-Rush response. I personally am flooded with e-mails from you. I'm going to... share a few.

Doug asks: "What would Breitbart Do? WWBD?"....

....My mailbox is stuffed with these from great people all over the country…it will take days to answer them all. I will do my best.

So one last thing to the Rush Ralliers.

I kept hearing a line today I had not heard. Then I was told the line is actually from a new T-shirt. Here's the image of the shirt -- and the story from The Washington Times.

It seems that an outfit named Anthem Studios has produced a black T-shirt with a black-and-white picture of the late Andrew Breitbart. Beneath his picture it bears the legend: "Breitbart is here.".....

Time for some competition for Carbonite.. and the other unpatriotic companys that exposed themselves on this Limbaugh thing..

They just DON’T have enough competition or they wouldnt have done this..
Wonder if Rush would give them an advertising break on prices..?..

Any investment brokers out there?..

The world should focus on these barbarians instead of Rush. Email below sent by Steve Malzberg.

Forget Iran, our boys that are in harms way in the middle east, the deficit, religious freedom, unemployment, socialism and gas prices.

We need to find this 30 year old student some birth control pills.

Sitting in the hospital, I have had time to keep the e-mails going.

I do have some advice for Rush. Open your show today saying the only other way to make the kind of money you do on the airwaves is to be in political office, so if the sponsors keep dropping you will have no choice!

Rush, we are 100% behind you. I am livid and intend in my small way to let all liberals everywhere know they are on the losing side. As Dave Ramsey says,(paraphrasing) I have read the book and we win in the end!

Boycott The View’ advertisers. Cancel HBO service on behalf of Bill Maher.

This show is about you. It’s not about the advertisers. I knew the political inclinations of these people. They didn’t care when they were profiting — and I didn’t, either. ~~Rush Limbaugh

[B]irth control is not all that Ms. Fluke believes private health insurance must cover. She also, apparently, believes that it is discrimination deserving of legal action if "gender reassignment" surgeries are not covered by employer provided health insurance. She makes these views clear in an article she co-edited with Karen Hu in the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law.

IOW, she also expects the Catholic Church to fund such surgeries as part of their insurance plans.

In a subsection of the article entitled “Employment Discrimination in Provision of Employment Benefits” starting on page 635 of the review Sandra Fluke and her co-editor describe two forms of discrimination in benefits they believe LGBTQ individuals face in the work place:

“Discrimination typically takes two forms: first, direct discrimination limiting access to benefits specifically needed by LGBTQ persons, and secondly, the unavailability of family-related benefits to LGBTQ families.”

Their “prime example” of the first form of discrimination? Not covering sex change operations:

“A prime example of direct discrimination is denying insurance coverage for medical needs of transgender persons physically transitioning to the other gender.”

This so called “prime example” of discrimination is expounded on in a subsection titled “Gender Reassignment Medical Services” starting on page 636:

“Transgender persons wishing to undergo the gender reassignment process frequently face heterosexist employer health insurance policies that label the surgery as cosmetic or medically unnecessary and therefore uncovered.”

To be clear, the argument here is that employers are engaging in discrimination against their employees who want them to pay for their sex changes because their “heterosexist” health insurance policies don’t believe sex changes are medically necessary.

I guess that I’ll just make this posting on the Rush threads.

A lot of us wonder what we can do. We can call the sponsors, but they (obviously) get a lot more calls from the left than they do from us, or this wouldn’t be happening. We can stop using them, which we are, of course. That will hurt them in the long run.

But we can sting them in the short run also. The Stock Identifier for Carbonite, for example, is CARB. There is nothing prevents us from using our pocketbook to short them (I made a killing shorting financials, especially Countrywide, when it was obvious the mortgage meltdown was about to start - my wife is still driving the car that Countrywide bought us). Now, to stay clear of the SEC, I am not telling people to short companies like CARB, I’m only saying that it is an option to people who might be thinking that they made a bad business decision. And remember, as their stock goes down (if it does), then their owners will be watching their little pot of gold shrink too.

....employers are engaging in discrimination against their employees who want them to pay for their sex changes ...

And not a scintilla of honesty or sincerity in any of it.

This is typical Alinskyite effrontery, designed only to put forward a roorback, a lie, about some idea or person the Alinskyites want to destroy. In this case, the Catholic institutions that deliver healthcare services.

This is all a political propaganda operation of Nancy Pelosi's (she's the one who supposedly sent The Fluke to attach itself to Georgetown) -- and a black one at that. " War Against Women", and all that.

Great post; Jeffrey Lord is a BIG FAN of Rush and Breitbart.

BTW...here's a link to a GREAT Drudge alternative; dailykenn.com. It's content is more like the original Drudge website before he/it got so...'establishment-friendly'.
