Rick Santorum has woman problems
Boston Herald ^ | March 6, 2012 | Margery Eagan

Here’s hoping Rick Santorum does well enough today to keep alive the GOP’s “Vagina Monologues,” as The Washington Post has nicknamed Campaign 2012.

Who’d have imagined that in the worst economy since The Great Depression, Republicans would spend so much time enmeshed in the nether regions of American voters? Thanks to Rush Limbaugh’s “slut” attack, we’re back there again. It all leaves us wondering why Rush never called Viagra’s first pitch man, Bob Dole, a “slut.” After all, Bob was after more fun, not babies. What a sly old dog.

Holy false equivalency, Batman. Nobody ever suggested Viagra wasn't for couples to enjoy healthy sex like everyone else.

The truth is Kleon, I don't want anyone paying for anyone's viagra either.

Not their condoms, pills, coils, or procedures.

The real question, though, is forcing the Catholic Church to pay for anyone's condoms. Why not force them to put condom vending machines in church bathrooms?

Wow, a clueless liberal author. Imagine that.

Time to go support one of Rush’s sponsors.

The writer is your usual MA moonbat, but in this case her comparison is apt.

FReepers galore have been defending Limbaugh’s term for Miss Fluke because she discussed the personal issue of birth control in public. Certainly BC is no more personal an issue than Bob Dole’s discussion of overcoming impotence.

Yes, yes, I know, Miss Fluke wants the government to enforce BC coverage via health insurance and that’s not what Dole’s commercial was pitching. But really the part that could be tied to sluttiness is pretty equivalent.

Enjoy Barry for the next 4.

I remember four years ago when everyone was saying that if the GOP didn't nominate a RINO that we would wind up with Hillary or Obama.

When Republicans run as conservatives (Reagan, Bush in 88, GWB) they win. When Republicans run as RINOs (Ford, Bush in 92, Dole, McCain) they lose.

The whole "go with the RINO" strategy is created by the media to insure a 'Rat victory.

It strikes me that Santorum may be motivated in part, with his strong female traditionalism, in overcoming and ‘righting’ the shame that his father may have felt in that era about earning less than his mother.

Rick Santorum DOES NOT have “Woman Problems.” It’s more correct to say that Sluts Don’t Support Sen. Santorum.

No doubt there’s good reason Margery Eagan doesn’t understand the difference.

Gosh, yes, the writer is on to something. That is how the majority of America’s female voters are going to respond.

“Well, I’m still unemployed, and gas is six dollars a gallon. But at least I no longer have to hear nasty words used on the radio”.

Bullseye

Then, even for those who will "settle" for Romney, if they really thought their way through that, they don't want Romney, but they're signaling that they'll "settle", so why not, if you're the GOP-E, just drive on with Romney. After all, the naysayers have already told you that they'd settle.

I understand what you are saying but this has never been Santorum’s focus. This is the focus of the MSM and the Democrats. They take small parts of speeches and repeat that over and over again. They ignore or lie about 95% of what Santorum says.

It is as simple as this. The MSM will say anything to make Santorum look bad. They will tell any lie to make him unpopular. If it wasn't this it would be something else. The MSM is not attacking Santorum because of what he has said. That makes no difference. They are attacking him because they want to destroy him. They will tell any lie to do so.

The lie that this author is using is that Santorum is emphasizing contraception etc. In the future it will be different lies.

You can take speeches of any public figure and if you spend enough time find things that can be distorted to make them look bad. That is the ONLY thing the MSM is trying to do. The MSM is trying to make conservatives look bad.

You are so right and I’m so sorry.

I meant to say “Free Condom Vending Machines” in the church bathroom.

And, of course, with a young lovely to demonstrate proper usage.

Props.

Even for reelection as their incumbent Senator, Santorum only got 39% of the female vote.
