ASHTABULA, Ohio -- A drug lab in the room of a nursing home resident caused a fire that killed one person and injured six others, a fire chief in northeast Ohio said.
The man died Monday, following the Sunday night fire at Park Haven Nursing Home, Ashtabula fire Chief Ron Pristera said. The lab was making methamphetamine, Pristera said.

Sounds like it was a "Non-Resident" that was making the Meth.....I wonder if it was a relative of someone living there or just a scumbag who took advantage of an open room?

the residents are making their own meth?
troubling, on so many levels...where to begin?

I’m so confused.
A 31yo “resident” in a “nursing home” (rarely happens - mostly with people with severe handicaps)? Maybe I just don’t understand the nature of this particular site.
And what did comments about the age and size of the building have to do with anything? Is it pointing to being a very small-time “private” home where the owners are actually involved and no-one would notice?
Strange article.

It’s weird because the article has been heavily sanitized to keep the sheeple from making obvious judgments about the sitch.

Perhaps Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and her staff are moonlighting? She oversees the nations’ nursing homes. Maybe she’s the supplier for the White House. Naw....guess that would probably be obama’s Drug Czar.

Alcohol is a much more popular drug than meth - but you never hear about stills blowing up in nursing homes. Why is that?
