"... he doesn't think anyone believes that would be the goal for a president seeking a second term."

I think he left out a word:

Maybe it should really read: "...he doesn't think anyone believes that would be the STATED goal for a president seeking a second term."

Sorry, Bam -- you're already on-record as wanting higher gas prices, as long as it doesn't happen 'too soon'.

Lyin' jackass...

I hope we can witness this Marxist POS being frog marched to a Federal Prison, where he can spend the rest of his miserable life rotting in solitary confinement. What he's done (and is doing) intentionally to this country should be grounds for treason! FUBO!

This is the all new Obama. He's acting as though today was his first day in office and everything we have heard him say is just a figment of our imaginations.

"Just from a political perspective, do you think the president of the United States going into reelection wants gas prices to go up higher? Is that -- is that -- is there anybody here who thinks that makes a lot of sense?" Obama asked rhetorically at a White House news conference.

*********

This is what I hear President Obama saying above:

"As President, I don't want high gas prices anymore than the average guy on the street, but there is nothing that I or my advisers can think of that will us help lower those damn very high and still increasing prices. Sorry."

So I say this: If President Obama and his advisers have thrown their hands up in the air out of frustration and run out of ideas on how to solve this horrible gas problem because they honestly believe in their hearts that this gas mess is beyond their control, then I say it is time to give somebody else a chance to try to solve this gas mess.

That is, let's vote for a new President in Nov. 2012, and let's give him a chance to try to solve this gas price mess.

Maybe the new President and his new group of energy advisers will come up with some new ideas on how to solve this gas mess, because it seems that President Obama and his advisers have exhausted all of their ideas, and there is nothing else they seem to be able to do.

Really, I don't see how a new President could do any worse than President Obama is doing when it comes to trying to solve this present high gas price mess.
