Our church is big and we do a lot of good things - feed the poor, have a addiction outreach and ministry, serve the community. After Katrina we served 100,000 people giving clothes, medical help and groceries for several months. We served over 200,000 hot meals during that time and all for free. Other out of town churches contributed, of course. And we did all this from the parking lot of our building which had been destroyed. My point is that Christians are very giving and will give even though their money is no longer tax deductable. But, others will think twice about donating. Conservatives are the biggest givers while liberals like to spend and give OUR money and are very vocal about helping humanity except, they are quite stingy when it comes to manning up to a situation or charity. Obama wants complete government control - Chavez style - slowly taking over every aspect of our lives. People, including lock step liberals, better wake up because we will be feeding from the same trough,

Thanks for relating your story. Your experience with churches is the same as mine. I also agree with you about government control and the desire for power.

An aspect of it all is that government wants people to feel about government the way they feel about themselves when being generous. It is all part of the collective mindset.

Government is a collective monolith. You and I, though, are individuals and taking action on our own enhances our satisfaction in self-responsibility and Christian morality. Those are the enemies of the Marxists and must be destroyed if the Marxists are to succeed.
