Tea Party Express endorsed U.S. Senate candidate Josh Mandel was victorious this evening in winning the Republican primary in Ohio and will now move on to defeating Democrat incumbent Sherrod Brown.

Thank you for all your support of the Tea Party Express and Josh Mandel. This was the first of many successes for Tea Party Express candidates in 2012.

As the State Treasurer of Ohio and a Marine Corps veteran with two tours in Iraq, Josh is running to shake up Washington and end the good old boy politics that has put our country on a path to bankruptcy

Please take time to watch this important message from Josh Mandel on the eve of his victory:

It is the focus of the Tea Party Express to take conservative control of the U.S. Senate, and Josh is the perfect candidate to replace Sherrod Brown, Washington’s most liberal senator according to the National Journal.

We congratulate Josh Mandel on his win this evening, but his fight is only beginning as he now turns his focus to Sherrod Brown. Please help us support Josh Mandel is this fight and our efforts to win back the Senate.

Sherrod Brown is grossly out of touch with the citizens of Ohio and Americans across the nation. Brown has consistently voted for more spending like ObamaCare and the failed $800 billion stimulus while ignoring the nation’s $15 trillion debt and growing budget deficit. We need conservative legislators in Washington who understand the dire fiscal situation of our nation and who are willing and able to fix it. As State Treasurer, Josh Mandel was recognized for successfully implementing conservative investment strategies and sharp management of the state’s finances. While our nation under Obama’s leadership was receiving a credit downgrade, Ohio received a credit upgrade thanks to Mandel!

US Senator Sherrod Brown, a steady supporter of President Obama, Obamacare and the failed stimulus packages

However, on top of getting our fiscal house in order, we must implement policies that encourage economic growth. Mandel not only campaigns as a conservative, he has the courage to legislate as one. As a city councilmember, Mandel successfully led the charge for one of the state’s only property tax rollbacks ever. He has been a proponent of oil and gas exploration in Ohio that could create up to 200,000 new jobs and has shown commitment to improving the business climate by cutting taxes and letting taxpayers keep more of their hard-earned money.
Mandel is added to a distinguished list of Senate endorsements from the Tea Party Express for the 2012 election, including Attorney General Jon Bruning in Nebraska, Treasurer Richard Mourdock in Indiana, and former Solicitor General Ted Cruz in Texas.

Mandel got my vote, but it was a first very small step. The competition was weak.

I hope he can beat Brown, Ohio has a lot of blue in it. (Cleveland, Akron, Toledo, Columbus, Dayton, Cincy). It’s a tall task.

The only reason this accused drug addict/user won last time was because the RINO Mike Dewine (R) got thrown out of office. Brown was accused of all kinds of shady things including drug use in his office, but the moral cripple was elected anyway. I hope we can throw this bum out like we did with Kookcinich.

I like Josh Mandel. Seems okay, but just like Rob Portman did, I hope when he gets to Washington, he doesn’t roll over and go with The Establishment Elite, and soften.

True, but a lot of Ohioans are Catholic and the wrath of God, via the US Catholic Bishops, Priests and Faithful, practicing Catholics are going to respond.

obama is going to get his little tiny half white balls handed to him in November.
