Panetta: 'International Permission’ Trumps Congressional Permission For Military Actions

Isn't this literally treason? I mean, isn't the Defense Secretary literally telling Congress that he answers to the UN over them?

WTF?

I pray for our military. Panetta is such a parrot. I suspected Panetta was an Obama ‘WATER CARRIER” but hoped the office would wise him up. I guess painting a zebra blue doesn’t make it a dolphin.

What if the UN votes for the US military to attack the US?

It’s almost enough to make one want to vote for Ron Paul. I’m so furious at this administration giving away our sovereignty carte blanc.

If our Congress had any balls it would not matter what Panneta said. Congress controls the purse. Planes do not fly without cash. Bombs are not dropped without cash. Cut the funds and you end the nonsense. But alas we have a Congress with no balls no spine and no common sense..........

There you go. J.F. Kerry’s infamous “Global Test” has finally arrived. (That gaffe played a part in his 2004 defeat, in the good old days when Rove was a magnificent bastard.)

Just like the legal permission we got for taking out Bin Laden in Pakistan? Rumor is him and Gates pushed Obama into it over Vlerie Jarrett’s objections. That’s why Obama was pulled off the golf course halfway through and was wearing his golf shirt in the Situation Room.

Congress, by subletting it’s responsibility to the President, rather than declaring war, which is the duty of congress, as required by our Constitution, has created this crisis.

Is Sessions finally awakening to this Constitutional crisis? What took him so long?

Bottom line, congress is to blame for shirking it’s responsibility, decades ago.

This is what happens when the War Powers Act is ignored, and when the feckless GOP does not defund military operations or throw up barriers to military actions.

Libya was illegal, but the Dems wanted it and ignored the laws.

But when we wanted to go into Iraq, we had to spend 6 agonizing months getting the permission of Congress and the UN, all the while the WMDs were shipped to syria under our noses.

Then we have complete A-holes like John McStupid saying “WE HAVE TO ACT!” to which I say “FU JMCCain! We don’t have to do anything for Muslims in Syria! Get us the hell out of Afghanistan!”

I like Jeff Sessions. I would have liked it more if he dressed down Paneeta, an old Clintonoid hack, and reminded both him and that dumpkoff bootlicker Dempsey that the President does not have unlimited powers of war.

The GOP better find their balls before we find ourselves in Syria and Iran at the same time, just becasue the usurper President wants another term in office.

The appears the Constitution is now just a piece of old parchment paper with some fancy writing on it that sits in a display case for the D.C. Tourists to gawk at.

Our current Government works outside of its Constitutional Limitations. There is no respect for what has come before or the sacrifices made to make this the greatest Nation in the history of the world.

The masses are ignorant, and ignorance is the tool of Tyranny. We have now have willful ignorance with wholesale institutional destruction being supported by the Political Class and those who choose to reward them with their Vote.

When my Dad was a kid in New Jersey, the Democrat Machine would have people out there on Election Day giving away $5 Bills to buy the Vote. Now the Democrats give away a lifetime of income stolen from the Productive Class.

I would never had imagined in my lifetime that the President of the United States of America would be able to promote Envy, Derision and fuel Racial Tensions to such a degree, but here we are. We are all Racists now don't you know.

I'm surprised the Seven Deadly Sins aren't part of the Democrat Party Platform, but I'm sure they are thinking about it.

God help us for we have become a Nation of fools. November will tell the tale, that's for sure.

"Bye; Bye; American Pie'. . .we now have a President, who says our Constitution must die. . . and no 'Chevy to the levee'; cause the engine is dry. . . Yes, we are so screwed; and this disaster, long in the making and so wonder; if 'America' is retrievable - or just parts thereof. . .

We so need Leadership such as Newt can offer; John Bolton; Lt. Col. Allen West; Marco Rubio and that of any bold Republicans; and Military - and great citizens - who are not 'vision impaired'; per the task required.

Am wondering too; 'who' is the Military (Advisor/Lawyer?) sitting behind Perp/Aid, Leon Panetta - whose glibness along with that of General Dempsey is a message in itself.

(hate the repetition per 'thread error'; but. . .)
