Yep, I was talking Federal. I did some work for them and the perks were insane. Everything I mentioned and more.

I once turned in an expense report and was essentially ‘ordered’ to make it more. My supervisor told me that other people had made a similar trip as mine and I was making them look bad. Uh....OK, says I. Wild.

And you could go anywhere in the world all expense paid, and on top of it, you get $100 a day in per diem. So, I was getting paid to be on what was in most respects, a vacation.

It does depend on where you work, but if you get in the right dept, ... wow.

A breach of tradition? Hardly. When has a tell all book not been written about a "first family" by an ex S.S. person?

I guess you.d have to go back to when the S.S. first started.
