Poll conducted by Teacher's Union. Romney shouldn't be even in the race in Alabama.

If Romney wins Alabama and/or Mississippi, it’s over.

All we have to do is keep Romney from getting 48% of the remaining vote. If Rick and Newt take 53% combined, Myth is denied his 1144 delegates and we go to a brokered convention.

A brokered convention means the GOPe have already lost control of the situation.

I have quite few friends in Alabama and they say that no way are they voting for that carpet bragger down there. As far as Santo goes he’s nothing but a whiny Yankee.

He is in the race. From the comments I am seeing, he is the choice of a sizable “ABO” faction as the “most electable.” I do not believe he is in first, the other poll showing him in second behind Santorum still seems more likely. Otherwise, it is all over for the not Romneys.

That’s the way it looks to me. Keep both Newt and Rick in the race and we have a fighting chance at the convention, notwithstanding the legions *ahem* of wholesome-looking, well-organized Romney peeps twisting arms behind the scenes.

There is no methodology, MOE, sample size, sample questions or any of the things a real poll normally have. This looks like some BS if you ask me.

Keep both Newt and Rick in the race and we have a fighting chance at the convention,

_____________________________________________________________

I’m not sure I can agree with this logic. The more Newt and Rick split the vote the less power either of them will have at the convention. If Newt were to drop out, AND all his votes were to go to Rick Santorum he still might not be able to win the nomination but he will go to the convention with a lot of power and decision making weight. That also might better deny Romney the opportunity to win outright.

Either way Romney will have a lot of weight at the convention, there are people who like him. Those people have a right to vote the way they want but we too have the right to vote our way. Putting all our chips on one candidate makes more sense to me. That way Rick gets a higher percentage of the vote and could become the front runner and take some of the spotlight and money from Romney. If you want to deny Romney that is the way to do it.

With Newt and Santorum both in it they both have to attack each other, not good. It makes it look like Romney is on the high ground. Romney is not an idiot, Idiots don’t make millions from scratch. We best not play him for the fool or it will be us wearing the fools hat.

If this is remotely true (whatever) Then the GOP electorate DESERVES to lose, period.

“If Romney wins Alabama and/or Mississippi, it’s over.”

I just came from a Newt rally and address in Jackson, Mississippi. The crowd was not packed but it was decent sized. Also, it was attended by a quite varied spectrum of ages, income levels (basing this on attire), about 5 - 7% ethnic minorities. For all the Christian Parisees out there you will be disappointed to know it was about 50% women in attendance. He made good points, all based on reason, history and LIBERTY. He emphasized that is it not our task to be the UN’s police, and that our principal obligation is to restore our own economic base, prosperity, and personal freedom. Not a bad turnout for a productive sector base on an early workday morning. We’ll see next Tuesday.

The state GOP machine is very low profile right now, but the usual suspects are aiding and abetting Bishop Willard, of course.
