The coordinated attacks to pressure advertisers (and now radio stations) to drop Rush Limbaugh is something everyone should be concerned about, as it is no coincidence that the Georgetown University Law Center student Sandra Fluke, the 30 year old woman at the center of the storm (background here),told viewers of ABC’s “The View” to go to the Media Matters website “for examples of commentators who attacked her.”
How convenient. This is the same Media Matters that drew up a plan, known as Project 2012, a document that outlines the organization's long term strategy to politically combat conservative messaging in the media. This is also the same Media Matters, whose president, David Brock, met with former White House Communications Director Anita Dunn on a regular basis. Finally, this is the same Sandra Fluke who received a sympathetic phone call from the White House after Mr. Limbaugh made critical but offensive remarks on the radio about Fluke.

What I’d like to know is why so many Conservatives are so easily played like this.
It’s obvious the contrception is a distraction from Obama’s economic performance. By bringing up contraception, the frenzy, which could conceivably shut down Rush and many conservative voices and leave us more in the hands of a liberal media.
It is sad that a huge segment of American people do not realize how much trouble America is in because of the communists that are controlling her now. How anyone can support King Obama and his communists Administration if beyond me.

I didn’t say Republicans or conservatives brought up contraception.
I said you guys got played by the Democrats over the issue, and you did. It was made an issue by the Democrats, because things are turning against them in all their pet issues and the Democrats will play the social conservatives against the economic conservatives whenever they want voters to stop looking at them.
And it works every time.

Well, pretty much everything BHO et al talk about is a distraction from his performance, economic and otherwise. But in this instance, the whole contraception as a women’s health issue is a distraction from the Wan’s war on the Church and religious freedom as a whole. Our candidates and ALL conservatives need to keep driving that point home to educate the public. Things like this can make a real difference in the election if our side doesn’t keep falling into the Left’s traps.
We’d better get a lot better, real fast, at keeping the focus on BHO and the REAL issues instead of letting his side paint us as a bunch of judgmental prudes and misogynists.

I’m sure the disgusting, ignorant, mean Joy Behar did. Ever catch her extreme body language when a conservative is a guest? It was hilarious today when Bill O was on today, sitting next to her. Legs crossed, arms folded tightly, leaning as far away from him as possible and a disgusted look on her face.
The Campaign Finance Reform bill, strongly pushed by John McCain, was the beginning of this strategy. Before it was passed the Left had already set up those organoizations specifically to bypass the new campaign finance laws. Are they violating the rules? Of course! Black churches have been doing it for a long time.
The result of the law was to silence true political free speech and to give the media the dominant role in determining winners. The media have been the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party for a very long time. They are the prime reason we have Obama. They refused to vet him or even challenge him while spending eight years blasting every move GW Bush made and pushing the idea that Republicans are a Culture of Corruption. At the end of Bush's term it was "anyone but a Republican."
Anyone who thinks John McCain is a conservative is mistaken. He has done numerous things through the years which make me think he was not the POW hero he claims. I suspect he turned and that the Communists have been holding evidence of that over his head ever since.

The left is in control and they have worked for years to obtain that control. The recent attacks are merely mopping up the last conservative resistance. In addition, it looks like those in the left are in reality more creative and more intelligent-as a general rule-than are conservative leaders and followers. For example, look how effective the recent contraception flap has been managed. It started with Stephanopoulos question to Romney thus setting the stage. Then the Roman Church was ostensibly forced to accept contraception, then "The Divine One" granted them an exception, then suddenly it was a "woman issue."

AEMILIUS, you are correct. This has been going on for over a hundred years. At first the Marxist Fabians were in charge and they practiced slow, stealthy deception. Examples were the graduated income tax as a redistribution of wealth and then Social Security to encourage the transfer of retirement planning from the private sector to the government. They sold the ideas by starting out very low in taxes/contributions with the intent to slowly raise them later. They have been doing that ever since. Of course there have been many more examples.
Every Democrat President since Woodrow Wilson has been sympathetic toward Communism and starting with FDR each has been an avid advocate. Wilson's failed League of Nations was an attempt at world government. Then FDR's New Deal, Truman's United Nations and LBJ's Great Society gave us a big push down the road to socialism, the fetus of Communism. FDR fought WWII in a way that assured the survival of Jopseph Stalin and the USSR.
As to why we don't fight the way they do, a free and open society like ours is/was easy pickings for ruthless seekers of power Read Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals and see it spelled oput. He dedicates the book to Lucifer. What more do you need to know that this is truly a fight between Good and Evil?
They honor lying as not only a legitimate tactic but also a necessary one to accomplish their goal, which is power. He advises that the "issue", contraception, is never really the issue. Power is the issue and the use of any means possible to achieve it is what should be done. Their goal is comlete power over everything, period.
Now, consider our goals - to return this country to the principles on which it was founded. That would be a very limited government with the power in the hands of the people and the people possessing certain unalienable rights which cannot be infringed by the government. All was based on the moral principles of Christianity.
How do we fight them the way they fight us? The best way would have been to stop the camel before he got his nose under the tent. However, he is now in thent so how do we eject him? First, we must stop being cowed by political correctness and become very vocal about our beliefs. Secondly, we must come together and communicate with each other. Free Republic is an excellent place for that, so please support it with at least a minimal contribution. We also must communicate with our Congressmen and Senators at local, state and federal levels.
We are fighting a vicious enemy who mean us harm, even to the point of death, in their march toward total power. We can no longer shrug our shoulders and let George do it.
They control the labor unions. Not so much the members as the leaders and the money. They control the media and the entertainment industry. They are gaining control of the voting apparatus. Pay special attention to the election of Secretaries of State in the coming election. They control the certifying of elections and can can do great harm in overturning the will of the people. Joseph Stalin once said that it doesn't matter so much who votes. It matters who counts the votes.
There have been many grave times in history. This is another. Be a hero!
